Got Call tonight, called back recording asked for Phone Number and zip and someone would call back

I hung up

I have received calls from this number, and they just hang up after I answer.

I do not know who it is but they called everyday. Would like to know how to stop the calls. The DO NOT CALL registry does not work for these folks obviously. No one says anything when I answer and I cannot get an answer when I call back. I am just not going to answer the phone any more!

We get calls all of the time from 704-831-6450. There is never any one speaking on the other end if we answer. They never leave a message on the answering machine. Thats not very professional regardless lc who they are. It is so not cool to run an operation like that.

My theory  It's a call from nspire, supposedly try to get donations for the homeless, but they 'hire' the homeless to make the calls...without supervision.  So the call is make, they 'log in' x numbers of calls, get their pay,  and off to the liquor store.and that's it.  Yes, I know there are honest homeless, but this ain't them.

I received a call this morning.  The person I talked to said they were having a clothing drive for the homeless.

Caller took 15 seconds to speak after I said hello and he talked really slow.  Very suspicious to me.  He ask for my wife by name.  Wanted to know if she wanted to donate any clothing.  Sounds like a scam to me.  How can you donate clothing over a phone?
I told him she wasn't available and then hung up the phone.

We have received numerous calls from this number as well.  Most of the time they hang up when you answer.  We are very suspicious of them.  No one in our neighborhood has heard of them and I don't want someone driving by my house and "picking up clothes."  If they were legitimate, they would leave a message and would certainly remain on the phone when you answered it.  It used to say NSpire on Caller ID and now it no longer says anything.  :(  I am not convinced that they are a non - profit.

704-831-6451 keeps calling me and each time I tell them to remove my number from their list. Yet they keep calling me.

Day and night we get a lot of calls from this number. When we pick the receiver, it hangs. What we can do with it. It is really awful and unbearable.

For about two weeks now, I've been getting calls from this number.   Usually twice a day.   Morning around 9:30 a.m.  evening 7:00 p.m.    No one is on the other end of the line when I answer.   I've decided to quit answering.   Has anyone been able to make them quit calling?   If so, how ? ?

For those of you complaining, the reason the Do Not Call registry does not apply here is that it is a charities and charities are not required to comply with the registry...

Gee, if they're SO legitimate...WHY WON'T THEY LEAVE A MESSAGE???  Off to block them...
