If they receive enough complaints, they'll investigate. In addition, they send information on how to file a lawsuit. Recently, they shut down five of these scams.

We get multiple calls from them almost daily. We do live in NC but not in Charlotte. If I were going to donate clothes to the homeless I would certainly start closer to home. Why are they calling outside of Charlotte numbers?

Got a call from this number about 12:25 PM and no one was there.  It is a robo-caller system that calls numbers in advance so when someone answers, they will know what time you are home and will continue to bug you at that hour for weeks.  I suppose it is the same people that used the name 'Hope House' for a while, however, it is probably Nspire, crooks for sure as far as I'm concerned.  I would not give them the time of day much less any items of any value over 1/2 of 1 cent.  That is the second call I received this morning, the other number was 980-613-4480, and I answered it thinking it was an A/C service man calling me to advise that he was on the way.  I told the lady to take me off their call list and if they call again, I will call them every free minute of every day until they get the idea of what it is like to have someone bug you all day long.

Received call from this number at 8.39am this morning. No message left -as usual. Do not want any further calls but am reluctant to call them back. I will report them and block the number from my phone service.

This is a business that they keep calling, we ARE NOT INTERESTED  in your service. Your company is a FRAUD, I hope you get fined hard and dismantled. Nobody with a brain, would ever donate to this sham. Please warn everyone you know, I tell my mother, never pick up the phone unless you know who is calling.

Caller ID says "Unknown Name." Receive multiple calls from this number. If I don't answer within 4 rings (I don't answer), the call is disconnected.

All I can say is Wow!  I googled the phone number that keeps calling me and apparently they are calling everybody! Yes, they said my last name too. My phone number is supposed to be unlisted. I have answered the phone for this number on several other occasions and no one said anything. They are constantly calling. Even after 9pm. Not a good system and I'm sure not going to invite anyone to my home to pick up items. Taking my items to Salvation Army and Goodwill.

Sorry you donated to these thieves as it only gives them more cash to spoof more phone numbers and bother more people.  Report them to the 'Do Not Call' which works very little in cases such as this, however, I suggest no one answer a call that does not have a name attached to the caller ID.

Yep, must be Inspire.  Was sick yesterday, age 76, went to bed early and they called at 8:47 PM waking me.  The called ID said 'CHARLOTTE, NC and the number 704-831-6450.  I'm sure from things I've read on many post regarding this outfit that they are just crooks pretending to be doing good.  If they wanted to do good, they could go about it in other ways.  How about mailing request or perhaps leaving a message on the answering machine when they reach one.  I also suggest, if you have caller ID, just don't answer the calls unless you know who is calling as so many are trying to cheat, steal, harm, etc. so many people.  I suggest He!! is waiting on many of them.

They keep calling here but want say anything so i stopped answering the phone when I see this number show up.They are getting to be a pain in the butt.if your going to take the time to dial someone number have respect and at least leave a message.

This number calls my home everyday. They do not leave messages. They finally called tonite while I was home. I answered, they hung up. Please keep reporting. This is wrong. Call comes in Charlotte, NC.

4. No one answers the phone when you dial the number in their Contact Us area. You get a recording that tells you to leave your name and number and they will call back. Don't. It will only generate more calls.
5. They use a third party to pick up donations. This company is not identified on their website or other literature. This third party has been known to pick up items labeled for other, legitimate charities like the Kidney Foundation.
6. There home office is in a residence in South West Charlotte.
7. There is no "store" where you can go to purchase donated items or even drop off items you want to donate. (BIG, BIG RED FLAG).
8. The organization ignores all requests, recorded or mailed, to cease and desist.
9. They don't offer you an Opt-Out for calls, as is required by law.
10. There is no e-mail to communicate with the organization for any reason.
11. There is no published list of company principals anywhere to be found.
12. There is no organization named "Hope House" listed anywhere. Not with the BBB, not with local charities, not in the phone book, yet Nspire claims that all proceeds go to support "Hope House."

The founder of Nspire is Greg Kinnard who diverts all donations from Charlotte to his "church" in Atlanta where they are sold. There is no Mr. Kinnard has consistently refused to divulge the level of sales or how much is used to pay salaries and bonuses. His address is 530 Timber Laurel Ln., a residence. It is listed under his wife's name.

They have called me three times today.  Both my wife are so @#$% of these calls and as you stated, they have changed tactics.  The Caller ID indicates "Charlotte, NC" and the number.  Since they are, in some way a charity, complaining to the FTC will do nothing for us.  I suggest the only charity they are could be their own pockets, however, I might be wrong but I've never seen anything good written about them.  The 'Do Not Call' program was a good idea but the overwhelming exceptions, i.e. charities, political, surveys, etc. seems to be what everyone is calling themselves the past few years.  I received a call the other day from 777-1-852-1232-3210?  That is too many numbers for a telephone.  I believe in my research it was from Hong Kong but I could  be wrong.  I'm beginning to consider the fact that having a Facebook Page requested by my kids was the wrong thing to do as it is so easy for anyone to see your name (you have to use your real name) and scammers, thieves only have go Google your name to get an address and phone number.  With that in mind, I deactivated my page and the HE!! with the scammers, etc.  Everyone reading this might want to consider what is happening to your information from Facebook, Twitter, and now the Healthcare sign in information that is required to even consider purchasing Health Insurance via any government entity.  Even when one goes to a doctor for a physical you now have to file out forms with your life's health history along with all your family members, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and your children in order to have your physical covered, in some way, by the government even though you pay the premiums to an insurance company.  Marxist, Communism, Socialism at its best!  Best thing to do, just don't answer any call from a number you do not know.

Collect used clothing for the Charlotte area?  How about collecting it and selling it at thrift stores?  Sounds like a profitable ripoff to me!

While it is humorous that Kennard's "church" is cold calling in Charlotte, NC for "donations" for it's Georgia based church, it is sad that people haven't allowed themselves to have a little more fun with two bit crooks.

The Charlotte BBB says of them: "The company operates out of the Atlanta area and has an F rating with the BBB for not responding to five consumer complaints."Nspire Outreach does not meet this Standard because: Its effectiveness assessment policy does not specify that this assessment will take place at least once every two years." "It did not produce a written report outlining the results of its most recent effectiveness assessment." "It states it does not have audited financial statements for the past fiscal year."
