I live in minnesota and I recieved 2 similar calls from 707-429-6000 presidio hotel.  No one on the line when I picked up.  My fiancee was trying to call my landline from his cell phone and ended up having to call my cell from his to get through to me.  We have verizon and I plan to call them and ask them to explain to me why it seems they are routing calls through this hotel.  Had there been an emergency, I wouldn't have known because of this bogus hotel.

I just got a call from this # today. I didn't answer but after seeing your post thought I would mention that it showed up on my caller ID as ' Presidio Hotel'. I've only had this # for about a week and a half and it has been ringing of the hook with calls from people I don't know i.e. sales, debt collecter's looking for people who don't even have a name close to mine, etc. I just wonder if the phone company sells new phone #'s or what? I mean I've only had a chance to give the # to 3 people and it's been constantly ringing since about the 2nd day of having it. One word, 'ANNOYING!'

Me too! Check out my post to Teresa. This is a new # and I'm getting all sorts of weird phone calls. I'm beginning to think some employee's at the phone companies might be making some money under the table by selling new #'s because this happens every single time I get a new #.

Crazy. Looks like allot of people are getting from someone they know but somehow it shows up as this hotel. I'm wondering if anyone has reported this to their phone company? So far I have just gotten the 1 call and didn't answer. If I get the weird thing with someone I know calling but it showing up as this hotel I' going to report it and will update on what I find out from the phone company.

TY Mark! I was just wondering if their was a way to block #'s without having to call the phone comp. With the multitude of shady phone that are out these days it's just an extra annoyance to have to call the P.C. every time. Thanks again :)

OMG!!!! Very, very good thing you went on-line. These botched phone calls are happening to so many people that I have to wonder if anyone else has had to convince a spouse that they weren't calling from a hotel.

That's the type of thing that makes me think that some unscrupulous employee's at the phone companies and or hacker's are illegally selling lists of our phone #'s. Sure would be ironic if they were specifically selling the #'s from the do not call lists.

Just got a call from presidio hotel. This was the 1st one, but it looks like they phone multiple times with no answer. Verizon, we need an answer!!!!!

This number came up on my caller ID and Presidio Hotel. Call was at 7:32 PM CST Feb 21st, no calls from that number since, but one from 949-844 1010 since. Both from California. I do not answer these or pick up and drop the receiver back in the cradle.

Call came from Presidio Hotel  #707-429-6000.  Caller said his name was Daniel and he was calling for the AmVets.

Caller id on tv says this number is calling from presidio hotel.I did not pick up. Looked up the 707 area code on google,says it's from Calafornia.Don't know anyone from there. Googled the whole # and got this site.I wonder what's going on?

In some states it is illegal to record a conversation but in no state is it illegal to listen in to a conversation when one of the parties knows they are on the line. In my state, it is legal to record a conversation as long as you are part of that conversation.

I got a call on my house phone. I tried to call it back and it said that it was after hours. Saturday afternoon at 4:04 pm.

Our daughter called us three times today on her cell from Charlottesville, Va.  All three calls showed that phone number and the Presidio Hotel on our caller ID, but she was on the line.  Very odd......

Received a call with this number and unknown name twice today and it was my daughters Gramma when I answered.  What is the deal with that?

I  received a  call yesterday.. from Presidio Hotel... was not home when received it... It showed up on my caller ID. But I have had a foeign speaking man from California calling and threatening me to have me put in jail for owing a Pay Advance..and never paying the amount owed.. He has said he was a lawyer.. and also in another call said he was a police officer... He leaves messages on my cell all the time... I do not owe any Pay Advance... They have all my personal information.. & I do not know how they were able to obtain it... Said I was a Scammer... telling me not to ignore his call and to either call him back or have my attorney to call ...or send them the money owed.. I found out on television that other people are also being harrassed by a man from California using the same story line on them..The reporters have said they are scam artists and if you receive another call to file a police report about it.. This is the first time I received a call at my home... It is usually on my cell phone..

I just got off the phone with Sprint.  I made two phone calls tonight to my mom and sister in Wisconsin and on their caller ID the number came up 707-429-6000, definitely not my cell number.  Sprint doesn't have a clue why this is happening.

There is no Presidio Hotel, but there is a company called Presidio Hotel Management Services based out of Fairfield, CA. I don't know why people are getting phone calls from this number but the company itself manages quite a few hotels and I doubt they run phone scams or work for the FBI. There must be a glitch with the phone provider.
