Caller claims I owe unpaid parking tickets from 2002 in Calumet Park, IL

I sent in this reply to callercomplaints.com on 1/15/2009. Their still calling my cell, 3 times today, 1 VM.

Phone Number Report: They call my cell twice in the morning. Not everyday. I never answer. I searched around, they try to collect for tickets, etc. & get a cut. Like lawyers going through public records for leads. They move around, at least 3 times. They left 1 or 2 messages. I'm very careful with my cell #, wonder how they got it? They started when Chicago offered an amnesty, half price on the fine + the ticket. I just paid $75.00 on an old parking ticket even though I was in the right. The collectors wanted $250.00.

They said they're a chicago area municiple representation and they called about a driver license issue.
"She" spoke to fast that I couldn't catch most of what "she" popped out.

We've gotten a few calls from this number, but they never leave a message so we don't know what they want. I have never had a ticket in my life and the ones my kids have gotten have been taken care of so I'm not sure what they want. We never answer calls we don't recognize.

They have called my home several times demanding money for so-called parking violations.  I spoke with a Micheal from that company and told him on 3-13-2009 to not call my number and have a GOOD day...

just sounds threating about a Ill Municipalityity

They keep calling my house to leave a number for me to contact them.

I have gotten calls from them as well and its for bellwood redlight tickets. I never received the tickets because they were sent to the wrong address so the tickets doubled. now they want me to pay $400 and I told them that I would pay $200.  The lady over the phone was very rude and said that they would never come off my credit.  I have no idea what to do next. Please reply back and let me know how you handled your situation.

They have already attached it to my credit report.  they are trying to have me pay double the amount of the ticket. I would have never let the ticket double. what did you do?

Do you know who you spoke with because they will not let me pay half which is the amount that i really owe.

go online to tranuion.com and get copy of your credit report. then challenge the item off of your credit report.  I also checked Experian and the other major crdit agencies.  you can get free copy of credit report if you think you are the victim of fraud or use your one time a year free credit report from annualcreditreport.com from uncle sam.  I just got them off in 3 weeks, they have a right to repost and I have right to challenge again.

I've been gettings calls from them and I live in Indiana and have an unlisted number.  No idea who they are but I answered this time.  They wanted me to call them back during 9-5 and they called @7:15pm.  There's no way I calling them back!

Really poor collection-like agency that only handles local parking tickets.  I cleared up a dozen tickets (all I had) four years ago, directly with the agency that issued them.  Now, out of the blue, these yahoos start calling for what I don't know.  Why don't I know?  Hell, they can't even figure out that I moved ten years ago!  If they used just a little brain power and one of the many resources that RESPECTED collection agencies use, they'd find me and the correct number to call in about forty-five seconds!

This is a poor collection agency some guy calls my house name Michael that was really rude. Telling I have out standing parking ticket for the village of Lyons Illinois. And first of my husband is a police officer so I do not know how we would get a parking ticket have outstanding parking tickets. I ask this guy to stop calling our house 24/7 and he said he does not which that do.  I ask this guy Michael for the company address and he kept on talking and tell me you have not paid this. I am going to report this company collection agency to Lisa Madigan.

Im a collection agent myself for student loans... The only way to get them to stop completely is to send them a cease and desist letter. you can print one off the fdcpa site sign it and send it certified mail so they cant claim they didnt get it, if they call again its a law suit

Per the fdpca it is against the law to leave messages in IL,FL, WI, IA, CA, VA, NY and NJ

called and recieved recording to call them back re: a Chicago Municipal matter.

They let a voice message saying that the call was in regard to a municipality violation in Chicago. I haven't been to Chicago in 30 years!!!
