They keep calling me and saying that they are calling regarding a "Chicago Municipal Violation".  I got one parking ticket last year and paid it right away.  If I had outstanding tickets the CITY would send me something in the mail. This is a scam.

I get calls from this number every other day.  I have no tickets of any kind, and the number they keep calling is not listed on anything.  Interesting that after years they are still in business.

I received 3 calls from this number and finally called back two weeks ago.  They told me that my license was suspended for failure to pay parking tickets.  I thought it was a scam so I called the Orland Park police.  Turns out my wife had gotten the tix while driving my car over the past 4 years and garbaged all the tickets!  MCSI offered me a discounted fine or a payment plan.  I opted for the payment plan over 4 months and they took care of getting my license reinstated with the Secretary of State.  I was sure I had no tickets too.  My advice?  Call them and see what it about.  If it is not you they are looking for tell tham and by law they need to remove your number from their systems.  These guys work for the police departments people!!!! You do the math...

I decided to answer the phone when I received another call from this number yesterday.  I found myself listening to a recorded message, as everyone does. I am on the national "do not call" list and learned that this kind of call is illegal.

Specifically, the TCPA (Telephone Consumer Protection Act) prohibits “any call” to regular land lines or cell phones “using an artificial or prerecorded voice to deliver a message."  The TCPA does not apply to calls that result from an “established business relationship,” to non-commercial calls, or to calls that you authorized. It’s possible, for example, to click something on-line, or to actually sign something, that includes a consent to receive text messages.

Under the TCPA, you can sue to recover for any actual damages you incur. If those damages are minimal, you get a flat $500 per call. If the TCPA violations are willful, the damages can increase to $1,500 per call.

I have contacted the Federal Trade Commission at 888-382-1222 and filed a complaint.  I will file additional complaints EVERY TIME I receive a call from this number from here on out.  I suggest everyone else do the same.

If I have violated the laws of a "local municipality", I expect they will try to contact me by mail or telephone before sending my information to an obscure collection agency.

If you deadbeats haid paid your tickets when you received them, you would not be hearing from these people.  They are just doing their job - OWN UP, and pay your fines.

got a call from rmi mcsi too. unfortunatly this house is like a dorm with different people driving different cars.  That call could be for anyone here at this number and no name was mentioned and they sound like an collection agency. Just one question. If a person doesn't pay for the original ticket and this agency buys the account to collect can the amount of the ticket increase based on collection fees and time past? could someone tell me if  this ticket isn't paid soon will the amount increase? also can these tickets be included in bankruptcy court? I know taxes can't but what about these types of car tickets?

These 'tickets' are not bought or sold, the state regulates the amount of the ticket.  If you read the ticket, it says right on it, it will increase to the state maximum, and most of the ticket max at $250.  You also had several chances to go to court and state your case to a judge.  But you did none of the above, and the balance is due.  Time to pay!
