Got this call this evening. I answered because I used to live in the 714 area code and still have lots of friends there. The computer hung up. Why bother calling me in the first place if you're just going to hang up when I answer? I'm even willing to do their survey, too.

Calls at least once a day. The Caller id doesn't make sense. Never leaves a message. I called back and got a recorded message:  to be removed from the market research list, send e-mail to:  dnc@datascension.com

This number called my cell phone last night and again this morning.  I didn't pick up either time and they didn't leave messages. grr.

constant calls from this #, and no one is there.....frustrating..!

I just got a call from this number today. I did not pick up.

no name shown on caller id - just phone number with the letter "A" in front of the number

our phone number is on the do not call register, so why are we getting these calls??????

Person who called was [ostensively] conducting some sort of a survey. She would not identify herself. Yahoo! identifies number as being from Yorba Linda, CA

Got the same call today from this number out of Yorba Linda, CA. Also, no message was left.

I'm reading in these notes a number of references, such as 'I'm on the Don Not Call List'.  I've filled out the National DNC list a number of times. As far as I know, there is no such thing as being on, or having one's phone number listed on, the DNC list. It's a place to file your report of the phone number of a suspected telemarting company that has called you; then, company calling must review the DNC list and stop calling you after 31 days.  

One doesn't place one's on phone number on the list 'for all the world of telemarketers' to see and so that they will never call you.  You have to go to that list for each new/different call and place the offending caller's number on the list. Those companies must review frequently and remove your name from their calling lists by 31 days thereafter.  Of course, it probably isn't working so well, given the number of calls and victims called.

Also, the DNC list does NOT pertain to collection agencies. And collection agencies are often calling as scam artists trying to pressure those they can intimidate into paying a debt that either isn't even their debt, or a debt that, for example, has been settled by bankruptcy [hence, an illegal attempt to collect a debt] through intimidation tactics, or by what amounts to extortion. You'll notice, they call, but never send the required proper certified mailing to legally announce their intention to proceed with collection of the 'debt', usually a legal process involving the certified mailing of legal documentation, followed by serving court summons, filing of liens, or garnishing wages, etc.

Gee, if the suckers won't reveal on the phone who they are, if they are unprofessional and rude, if they don't respond to a call back, and maybe don't even have the right name they are trying to reach, I'd just tell the caller to stick his or her head where the sun don't shine, if you even get the chance.

Received calls on my cell phone from this phone number as well.  Cell phone shows this number originates from California.  Having grown up there, it's in SoCal in the Orange County area.  I haven't answered when 'they' call & no message has been left on my voicemail.  If it's THAT important that they have to call me 3 times over 4 days, then they can leave a message!

I just received a call from this #. I answered it and they wanted to do a fast food survey. I'm on the do-no-call list. I'm getting alot of these calls right now.

On no call list. No message left.

I just received the call and picked up before looking at the caller ID.  They wanted to do a survery on someone in the house who goes to the movies often.  When I told them we do not go, she keep asking if anyone else in the house does even though I had told her more than once no, she keep on asking.

I answered the call.  They identified themself as Neilson survey asking to do a review of movies in the theatre.  I asked that they remove me from their call list.  They said they would do so.

Received a call from this number while I was away from the house. Caller ID said Yorba Linda CA and below this name was the telephone number 714-463-2940. I have answering service but no message was left. After reading the responses here I am going to delete the number and not answer if there are call backs.

just received this call...the answering machine picked it up and I got a dial tine then a recorded message to hang up the phone and dial again. This call came in just mins after another junk call from Colorado. the DNC list is useless.

I just answered a call from A714 463 2940, I replied I was on the "Do Not Call List", she replied they did not have to comply with the sentry.  I did get her name and a call back number of 1 888 996 9238 and asked that she remove me from the calling from her company.

Guess, I will see if I have more calls from them.............recorded the date, time, request.

Seems I am getting a lot of these type calls within the past 2 months.

714-463-2940 called three times today! Had an A in front of the number above the caller id.
