Pay attention - what these people are saying is that they are not the person the bottom-feeding debt collectors are looking for.  Either the scumbags are phishing for information or someone gave them a wrong number - either way they should do their homework and stop bothering innocent people.  This is harassment and should be illegal.

We're having the same problem.  I don't know how they got our phone number attached to some deadbeat's name, but they keep harassing us for someone who doesn't live here and never has had our phone number.  When you get one to finally stop calling you, they sell the debt to another scumbag debt collector and the calls start all over again.  We are sick & tired of being harassed for someone else's debt.

These people call looking for someone named Parsons.  I do not know anyone by that name and I have told them this and they keep calling anyway.  We have asked that they quit calling and if I run into anyone with that name I will call them.  But they still call.

You are right, I have no debt and I have had my number for19 years, and I get these calls and many others, I got a digitone Call Blocker.

I have had several calls over the years from various numbers to people with names I don't recognize. I used to try to fight it. One was from India and would call 4 am. the phone company was no help at all. I used a web site for India to complain about those calls. If I ansered the personwould be yelling in some foreign language with a baby crying in the background. I was getting some from CA. Now they are from CO. to save my time, I just save the number to my phonebook and place them in a group that has a ring tone that is short and quiet. I know not to answer. I always look on the web to see it's an important call or not. thanks to those that reported on this number, I know it doesn't apply to me. Cheers

This number called twice in one hour today and left no message.  It appears from the rest of the posts that this may be a collection company calling. I changed my phone number when I purchased a new phone about 3 months ago and ever since have been getting collection calls from a couple of companies, calls from an attorney's office, etc.  My only option to is ignore the calls or to have my number changed...which will cost me money.

Got call; they hung up- they left no message.

Received the call several times today; no message left. Call was from "local office", 714 is not my locall area code.

this # shows Local Office on my caller  ID, I am elderly, having problems getting to the phone . I don't owe money and they do not answer when i pick up the phone,this happens two and three times a day

Have gotten 2 calls from this number in less than 45 minutes apart. I have an answering machine and they never say anything at all, jsut hang up. I have no credit cards or bad credit so wish they would stop. Why can't the FCC do something on this. Another call, this is a TN area code that does the same thing.

Keep receiving phone calls 30 minutes apart from this number on my cell phone.

I answer it, and it disconnects.

I try calling back, and it doesn't go through.

This has been going on for seven weeks.  This time it just says (cuts in,) "or you can return our call at 1-800-824-6191.  Thank you." I checked the number, and it's for a Collection Company in Nevada.  

Both my credit report and banking sense says I have no collection accounts to my name so you tell me.

Put the number in your contacts list and assign it the ring tone "no ring".  It won't stop the calls but it will make them easier to ignore.

Your cell provider may be able to block the calls, but that may not be free.
