I received two calls back to back (Both named Nancy) and from the above number stating there is they are from the Reuben and Yates law firm. Stated that there is a petition for a  court order pending at this time. An immediate return call from me or an attorney @ 866-237-6191x119. Failure to do so will escalate this manner without further notification.

I got a call today fron Ruben and Yates, said they were investigators. They asked for someone I had never heard of.  They then said that I was listed as a family member.  He named off two more alias', and there it was!  My first husband from 30 years ago!!!  This is not the first time collection agencies have called me about his debt.  He was nice enough to say that they would remove my name, but we will see.  How do they get my name?

I just received a call from 716-650-2640 from someone named "Nancy", she said I had until today to respond before court action will be taken in philadelphia, she said she represented Ruben and Yates law firm. Such bull it's a collection agency. Why do they lie you will get a better result being honest.

Rubin & Yates is a criminal organization with no legitimate  address or corporate identity.  They have been sued 4 times for similar behavior but nobody has been able to successfully serve them, let alone obtain any money from them.  They are hiding out under the radar for now.   Call your local Attorney General, the FTC and the NY Attorney General and tell them to put a stop to these criminals.

I got a call from a Cory Benson that said there was a complaint against me and my ss# and to call him him right away or have my attorney call him!!

You sound as if you work for these blood suckers...If they would charge for the services rendered, ok but they tack on more than the original service and then hound not only you but anyone that you might be related to...these are hard times...and people are going hungry and homeless...I feel sorry for you...but then you probably don't care...I'm quite sure you have a GOOD JOB :) probably calling people

got one today...asked for someone named jenson or something..I told him he had the wrong number but he informed me he got the number from a relative and wanted to know if I was sure he wasn't there...like he was hiding under the bed or something...what is the I.Q. range to get a job for these people? Man they are dumb!!

Got a call from a guy said its about my HSBC debt that I had. I had a mastercard with that bank about a year ago and cannot afford to pay it. They said that they have an attorney in my state and are going to take a default judgeement against me. I told them I will pay when I go back to work. The guy was cool about. Glad I delt with someone nice at least.

Did so are they a law firm or not? They just called me and sais if my hubby didn't make arrangements today to settle his debt, that he was going to be sued.

They called me also,  I also lost my home vehicle and everything else.  They said that a suit was filed and they were from NY.  I said I don't live in NY.  They said your married that they were going to attach my husbands Social Security which is only 179.00 a month.  They said I owe 900.00  card limit was 300.00.  want payment in full now or else.  I don't deny that I owe the debt.  I said $25.00 a month they say no.... I told them then suck lemons.   They are threating, rude obnoxious and just mean.  They call everyday,  home and cell.

On 8/10/2010, I received a call from a Gary King at this number, looking for someone who had this phone number at least 3 1/2 years ago. He provided her name and social security number, and said a complaint had been filed against her in county court and provided what he claims is the case number and said if she didn't respond promptly that they would indicate to the court she is refusing to cooperate and implied jail time could be forthcoming. I've repeatedly told other callers from this same number and others from various other numbers that this woman no longer has the phone number they are calling, that I have had the number for 3 1/2 years, that I should not be privvy to such information about her, and have asked them to stop calling. Apparently they don't listen too well. I do NOT know her and do NOT know how to contact her. I don't know how much clearer I can be with these people.

Just a follow up to my above post. I had some time to kill on 8/10/2010 so I stopped by the county courthouse. The "complaint number" provided by Gary King from 877-573-2104 (his direct line came thru as 716-650-2640) is NOT a valid complaint/case file number with the county, despite Mr. King's allegation. The county clerk's office has no cases filed against the individual Mr. King was looking for. This would indeed appear to be a scam caller, trying to intimidate the person who had my phone number before me into paying up or giving out a cc number or something.

And another follow up.... Mr. King contacted me again today at 10:57 am, again looking for the same individual. I let the answering machine pick up. He again indicated that legal action had been taken against the individual he was looking for, provided a case number, and stated that if she did not return his call promptly she would be reported as uncooperative to the courts and would face jail time. He did not leave her ssn this time. I promptly returned his call, indicated that we had talked on 8/10/2010 and had told him that this woman did not have my phone number any longer, that I did not know her or know how to reach her, and that he had been instructed not to call again. I also told him that I had been to the county courthouse while at the DMV and checked up on his case number, that the courts had nothing filed against this woman or her ssn, and that the "case number" he provided and claimed was the court case number was not valid. Mr. King proceeded to curse me, call me a liar, tell me I didn't know what I was talking about, told me to get a job, claimed a recording which would prove he had not left a ssn the first time he called (I informed him that nowhere in his current conversation had he informed me that the call was to collect a debt and was being recorded, thereby a violation of the FTC debt collection practices) and then hung up on me. I called back and Mr. King answered immediately. He told me I was harassing him and that he was going to file legal action against me. I asked to speak with his supervisor and he again repeated his threat, but did transfer me to his supervisor, a Brian Evan. I provided Mr. Evan a very brief synopsis and instructed him again that NO ONE from Rubin & Yates is to phone this number again, or I would file a complaint with the Pendleton County sheriff as instructed by the clerk at the court office.

I got a call today from this number and the message stated that they were calling for me (gave my first and last name) in regards to a complaint that was filed against me and my social security number that he had on his desk.  He also said that he needs to hear from me by 5pm today or I will lose my right to participate in this matter.  How vague is all that?  He called my cell phone and my home phone which is not even published.  Not sure how they got either number since I never put them down on anything.  I guess if it was that important and they are able to find my numbers out of the thin air, they could just mail something instead.  Finding an address should be easier than finding my cell phone number.

Well I agree with everyone on here Rubin and Yates are nothing but bullying crooks.  I just made a payment arragement with them after they told be if i didn't the cost would go up $4000.  (if I waited until the next day)  I am in the process of paying back all my debt that I was unable to pay so I thought okay well lets not add more so let me take care of this one.  The next day I went into by credit report and some settelment letters I have recieved for debit that has been paid and the one they were collecting on was one I already paid.  So now I am having a problem getting them to speak with me about stopping those payments.  I am having to close my bank account so they do not take anymore money out for something I had already paid.  And by the way it was paid through a totally different collection agency.

They called me and said they were a law firm , I told them they had the wrong number and they said they got the the number from the sheriffs dept and I was lying and they will be calling me to get the right number. They then said my name was on caller I'd and I'm being recorded saying I'm not k gonzales. They then said they would put me on 3 way to call phone company to change the name on caller I'd. Right after that they called my cell phone leaving a message for my laywer to call there law firm.
