- omg718-668-2881 - I got a call from this number. I was asked to call back a "Miss Kelly" at Ext. 156. Her voice sounded suspicious.
- W.T.| 9 repliesI got a call today from "Bill Walsh" from RTR Financial Services. I've been getting calls from pre-recorded machines for almost 2 months now, but this is the first time I got an actual person. He left a message, saying he was calling on behalf of Cedars Sinai Hospital in Queens (Astoria), and that I owed debt. I've been out of NY State for almost a year, and the last time I visited Cedars Sinai was almost 2 years ago, AND I paid all my bills at the time. I never received any snail mail or bills regarding this debt, so I smell BS.

- Ha` replies to W.T.| 2 repliesYou probably should give him a call back because you most likely still owe the bill - And Cedars is not in NY it is in CA. You probably think you paid everything and you didnt
- None of your business replies to W.T.| 5 repliesThis is not a BS. Its not CEDARS Sinai it is Mt Sinai. You probably had a bill from over 2 years ago then. Maybe you should have tried dealing with your bills instead of running. Take a look on the web. RTR Financial Services is activley and a real company. I worked there a few years back and it was people like you that caused me to have a mental breakdown.
- none of your business replies to Ha`Apparenty you are very wise. Unlike the preson who wrote this post.
- none of your businessi keep getting pre recorded messages and it sounds suspicious if you are not this person do not listen to this message there will be a 3 second pause so you can listen to this mesage

- sickofspam replies to None of your businessWhat kind of collection agency uses a robo-caller and asks the debtor to call them? How many people are going to do this? None.

- joedirt bags. keep calling the same number robotically after 7-8PM. Total disregard for the law.
- Annoyed by this Scam| 2 repliesClearly a bogus, bot-driven scam. Any automated call that says, "This message is for x. If you aren't x, do not listen to this message. It contains personal information. There will be a pause [while you decide if you are "x"?]. This is an attempt to collect a debt. If you are x, you must listen to this message in private. There will be a four second pause before the message proceeds." I have absolutely no debts of any kind and, even if I did, I would not be taken in by this scam, but I want them to cease calling my number. Also, I am worried about the less sophisticated recipients of such calls who will be intimidated into returning the call, thus providing them with confirmation that they have reached a live and gullible contact. Apparently there is a branch of this company that may be legit, but these automated calls clearly, for all of these reasons, are not. I am reporting them to various entities, both governmental and private.

- Annoyed!| 7 repliesLike others, I am over-annoyed with the robo calls. I have gone back to the financial office at the hospital they claim to be representing countless times, as these calls keep coming up again. My bills have been paid, and they can't figure out where they keep claiming to dig up outstanding debts!
BTW, they have a BBB rating of "F". Wonder why? Not.- Caller: RTR Financial

- LG7520These people are in violation of so many federal laws they have broken the fare debt act they call family members and other people leaving threating messages verbally with people i have tried reporting to the attorney generals office and others..

- JohnNo idea who this organization or individual is but they keep calling me and hanging up to the point it is obnoxious. They never leave a message,
No message left = No business with me; call blocked. Have fun dialing a number that auto rejects with first ring suppression lol
p.s. Their name on the caller id is spoofed, Which I always thought was illegal. - E-Nuff replies to Annoyed by this Scam| 1 replyThey are so effing annoying. I don't owe jack either and they are riding me. Smh

- Mich| 2 repliesI have been getting this kind of calls and want to stop getting unwanted calls like this. What do I have to do? As far as I know, we don't owe any money to anybody. Sometimes, they can be very threatening!
- Caller: debt collection
- CWG40 replies to MichInvest in a call blocker and DO NOT pick up on call numbers you do not recognize.
If they are bothering you, report them:
http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection (Threatening civil proceedings with no intent to follow through, or threatening criminal process in order to collect a civil debt is a violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.) The same goes for endless telephone harassment
Also contact your local attorney general
If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion. Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved. Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.
You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them. Tell 'em no scammy debt collector is going to push you around.
You have to get tuff with these people because, being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking). the only thing they understand.
Also you can send them a cease and desist letter. This should be sent by US mail, return receipt.
