- Ididowe| 1 replyThis company is legit. I did owe a balance to the hospital they were attempting to collect. I was making payments to the hospital, but I guess not fast enough for their liking, so they sent the balance to RTR Financial. I call them monthly to make a payment and they are nothing but professional with me.

- BigA replies to sammy1For some reason people seem to think that if a debt collector is located in a particular state, then they only can collect for debts in that state. That myth is so far from the truth. Debt collectors usually collect nationally. They get their clients from all 50 states as well if they are collecting for clients. I see that there is a ton of really great information in this thread. Have you taken the time to read it?

- Mike-in-MD replies to RTR Financial Services| 4 repliesThis is not a messaging system and the person you are replying to will not receive any indication that you left them a message.
- MJG replies to Mike-in-MD| 3 repliesAND shilling is against the TOS of the site.
- Mike-in-MD replies to MJG| 2 repliesDo we consider self identified reps of the company a shill?
- MJG replies to Mike-in-MD| 1 replyMost regulars do - especially when they post multiple times to old posts and when they say "call us back".
- Mike-in-MD replies to MJGGuess I reserve shill for the fake satisfied customer types. The mods removed the post as appropriate, more for spamming the thread with messages the original posters he replied to would never see or be informed about rather than shilling, IMO.
- SarahA guy called on this number, introduced himself as Charles. He asked for my name, which I confirmed, and then went on to try and confirm my address. Since I have been receiving a lot of calls from "Career advisors" lately, I asked him to confirm where he was calling from. He said that before he could confirm that information, he would need to confirm my address, which he had. Still, I did not confirm that that information was correct, and I insisted to know where he was calling from. He claimed that "By Law" he needed to confirm this address before divulging this information (I call [***] on that). I did not budge from my position, and so he said someone will call me back. I told him to tell whoever would call back to confirm where they were calling from before asking all of this personal information.
