Stated his name was Angelo and then mumbled through the name of the company he works for. He asked for an office contact by name. Contact is on vacation. Caller would not take voicemail and asked me to complete a 45 second survey to update address information -- I cut him off, I know that this is for a "free magazine subscription" for blah-blah magazine.
Ignore the call. Just a way to junk up your mail box :P

Called once, with no message left

charity scam ...

Asking to update information for a "free subscription" for some magazine that I didn't get the name of. I asked who it was going to and it was apparently going to our CEO and they wanted to know if he was available. I put them on hold to look them up and then hung up. We get these calls a lot since I am in the marketing department and they often are scams where they say it is free but will then try to bill you for it claiming you approved the charges. If it is something our CEO wants I am sure they will be in touch.

Uh-huh. Sure. So you know who called but rushed right to a phone number look-up site anyway? Why?

called. They kept silence. Must be scam caller.

Subscription renewal for trade rag (trade magazines/publications).

They called and asked for someone that has been gone over 6 years.

This is not a scam, it's a legitimate company that works for a trade magazine company updating subscriptions for free trade magazines, if you don't want the magazine, just tell them.

Multiple calls, always seems to call again after they may think you have forgotten about them. Caller ID says, "Graven Austin." No messages ever left.

call center told them to stop calling a lot of times and they keep doing it

I kid you not, this was the 2nd time this number called our office (1st time was silent) and after picking up the receiver the voice on the other line started singing. I hung up immediately.

They are calling to confirm renewal of Trade Magazine(s).  If you ignore them, they will keep calling.  If you tell them you're not interested, they have stopped calling for me (at least so far).

called from an area code I never get calls from, let machine pick up, no message.

Called, no message left. Came here to check it out; guessing some magazine subscription scam? N
