No VM left for investigation

We do get this free trade magazine but it still sounds like a scam.

Probable scammer.

I didn't answer and they left no message.

Agreed!  I told the caller that the person she asked for (a former employee) is not on the roster.  She wondered if there was someone else who might want the free subscription to something-Marine magazine.  She understood when I politely declined, explaining that our office is located in a green building and we are actively working to reduce our volume of incoming postal mail - especially magazines, catalogs, etc.

This number has called me 4 times in the last week.

They had been quiet for about six months and so I didn't immediately recognize their number today.  As soon as I picked up I heard the electronic "bloop" from the robodialer to the LOUD call center however and so I simply put the receiver directly down on the desk.  The tone of the lady's voice was audible still and I smiled to myself as I heard her go through her whole spiel before she realized she was talking to nobody and disconnected herself twenty-two seconds later.
