- West replies to JFTOur company is getting the same calls and emails about a FedEx invoice. They never will mail proof of anything. And try to add bogus amounts and what I guess are fees. Really weird. We will file on them too. Very unprofessional.
- West replies to Upset Business OwnerWe have the same issue with FedEx. We just keep paying FedEx and ignore them. I wouldn't give them a dime. Never will show proof. Just threatening emails and phone calls. Pretty sure it's a scam. We never have received any via mail and their email bounced when I replied last.
- MMMMHMMMM replies to MelissaYet she continues to make payments....hmmmmmm
- JMeyer| 5 repliesOne of my clients got calls and e-mails from Nevins and a Mr. Gross, both of whom claimed they were lawyers working for this New Jersey law firm demanding payment of delinquent CenturyLink bill. Rude and abrasive. Refused to provide identity of CenturyLink contact information and continued to demand payment despite receiving a copy of an e-mail from an authorized CenturyLink spokesperson saying that no money is owed.

- Management| 2 repliesSince the advent of the Internet, one of the major injustices we are forced to endure in business, for the privilege of living in the Greatest Country in the World, stems from one of our most basic freedoms: Freedom of Speech.
This injustice allows anyone to defame a person or business while remaining nameless and faceless. Though impossible to defend, it is our sincere hope that anyone reading these defamatory statements will be intuitive enough to consider the source and ask themselves what validity these comments could have when authored by someone who doesn’t have the courage to identify themselves when writing them. - maybe getting sued?I recently was employed by a company that closed. Bankruptcy. I loved that job too! A month later I have a new job and all is well so I thought. I come home from work one evening and listened to 2 rather abrupt, very important sounding messages on my home phone. Not sure if it's a legal issue or more of a debt collection attempt. I do not accept UNKNOWN OR UNAVAILABLE calls on my cell. I just add them to my reject list. I came to this site to read about the legal firm Weinstock & Omalley. NJ ?? why an attorney 2000 miles away from me and they do not have license to practice on the west coast. Hmmmmm, now I am better prepared to deal with them. Thanks everyone for the heads up!

- terminator1 replies to West Michigan| 2 repliesThe calls are from a collection agency Amalgamated Financial Group @ 105 White Oak Tree Old Bridge NJ.Weinstock and O " Malley is bogus. They are Not a law office. It's all a scam. Bunch of unprofessional idiots. If you continue to get harassing calls from anyone there, just report them. The turn around is ridiculous there. No one stays because they treat their employees like 2nd class citizens............
- terminaor 1 replies to Upset Business OwnerPeter Dee is Not an attorney........ with Weinstock & O'Malley. He is just the son in law for the owner of Amalgamated , who is John W. Report this company for harassement...This is nothing new. This is the way they operate. Very unprofessional indeed.
- IntheknowMy advise for everyone who has issues with this, turn the matter over to your FedEx rep. We got a notice from them saying we owed for FedEx Tech Connect services (a service we have never used). Our company has a good relationship with our FedEx sales rep so I just turned the matter over to them. let them handle the frauds
- SunnyW replies to terminator1| 1 replyWe also got a call here in Canada from a Kevin Gross. He said they are a law firm and that they've been instructed to start an "action". We don't even have any vendors in the US so it is definitely a scam. They left a msg with the number 18006829003. I called and spoke to the receptionist and asked if this individual was a lawyer? At least she told me the truth and said no. When I asked if he was a collection agent she said she needed to put me through to him. You have to wonder how they got our business number? Just scrolling through websites and pulling numbers in the hopes of getting someone who will send a cheque. CREEPY! Don't give them any info over the phone I wouldn't think....
- terminator1 replies to SunnyWAmalgamated Financial Group "does not " have any attorneys on site. That is "bogus". There is no law firm there. Do not feel threatened by them. They will not report you to any credit bureaus. It is just a tactic. The manager Louis Sandoli was a secretary promoted to a manager of collections. Classless and useless. Got a crash course on managing from McDonalds....3rd class sweat shop. Its a revolving door. People leave all the time, and rightfully so for personnel assaults to attack them. It is our right as Americans to freedom of speech, and stamp out these cockaroaches once and for all. They should be vanished out of this market.. Let your voices be heard and keep on speaking out about this dysfunctional company. They all should be ashamed of themselves.
- terminator1 replies to Upset Business OwnerWhat they have done is wrong. You have every right to report them to the governor. Peter Dee is not an attorney. Weinstock & O'Malley is a name they use. There are no attorneys there. It's just a tactic to intimidate people. Please move forward and report this company for the frauds that they are. There are several reports against them with the BBB .They have been fined before so this is nothing new. This is the way they do business. This is our right to :freedom of speech". Record all the messages and call the Attorney General and put the screws on them. Money talks and maybe if it hits them in the pocket hard enough it will stop them in their tracks. Best of luck!
- terminator1 replies to ManagementThe truth shall prevail..... and aren't you a coward as well behind your own curtain?
- confused replies to JMeyer| 4 repliesI am receiving calls from Mr Gross. How did your case play out? I am getting numerous calls daily. I have asked for proof and they will not send.
- Tamianth replies to confused| 3 repliesThis has all the earmarks of a scam operation from what I'm reading here. If your using Fed Ex, then report it to them. Neither phone, fax or email are proof of debt. The FDCPA requires them to send them ala USPS mail with 5 day's of the first call.

http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection - CreditManager| 12 repliesThank you all for your comments. I'm a Credit Manager for a large company. I received a voice mail message from this company wanting to do our collections. That was a month ago. Since then they called almost every day without leaving a massage. They are a collection agency, but obviously not one that follows the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. For consumer collections an agency must provide written proof of debt. They cannot call again until they do. If they do call, it's another violation. If they continue to annoy, google the act and know your right...then have fun with them.
We use collection agencies. However, this type of agency would reflect poorly on my company if I used them.- Caller: Weinstock & Omalley
- Call type: Debt collector
- Ian replies to CreditManagerI'm confused, they called you wanting to do collections work for you, but you are citing the FDCPA? If they are calling to solicit your business, where would any proof of debt come into play? By the way, the FDCPA does not apply to commercial accounts. It was created to protect consumers. It sounds like there is a commercial debt involved (since there is a credit manager and you use collection agencies) to which they are pursing collection on. Ignoring a past due debt and "having fun with it" is certainly not the best advise.
- Burkhalter&BurkhalterOur firm received a phone call from this " company " who then proceeded to inform us that they are a law firm. Mr. Jessie Niven is who he stated to be. Whether that is his legal name or not we do not know. He insisted on speaking with the person who runs our financial department. We are a Tax/ Business/ Estate Law Firm.
When asked for documentation, he would not provide any in any form. Sounds like smells like acts like...A SCAM- Caller: Amalgamated Financial Group DBA Weinstock & O'Malley Law Firm.

- Suzanne GarrisonPeter called, left a VM stating that CenturyLink would "proceed" legally if we didn't respond. TO WHAT??? Saying we owe $7,800+. Once I emailed him, he doesn't have an account #, no contracts, etc.. BEWARE! I smell a BIG SCAMMER!!!
