I got a similar call today.  One interesting twist I haven't seen reported is that she started out by saying I was very hard to reach.  That's patently absurd, because I'm home most of the time and at worst have easily accesssible voice mail.

Received call at 4PM today, was told I was hard to reach (absolute nonsense). Caller ID showed children's cancer. Woman did not sound believable. I told her not to call, private cumber, national do not call list. She hung up.

Called today at 06:35 PM, Caller ID is CHILDRENS CANCER, do a search, is an old scammer (Vontage) started from Nov. 2007!  7 years scamming, and keep going, where is the government?

Exactly.  People have been complaining about and reporting this number since 2007. And yet nothing is done.  So much for wasting one's time with Do Not Call and the FTC.  This law appears to have all the weight of a U.N. Resolution.  And, frankly, I'm sure Congress wants it that way.  An earlier poster exclaimed "Do I have to screen all of my calls?"  The answer is, apparently and unfortunately, yes.

Received several calls from this number with different caller id listings. 1) Children's Cancer 2) Vonage operator 3) microsoft tech. Looks like all these are phishing scams.

I have received 8 phones in a course of 3 hrs in one night from this number.
And everyday at least twice a day for the last 3 weeks.....this is harassment and I have asked them to stop!

Received a call this morning - female voice asking by first name only for a family member - who would NEVER normally get calls on this number so that may just be a coincidence. Asked who was calling. Had to repeat it. Response was, I think, AC Staffing.
The female voice was almost certainly a robot because the responses ignored my questions and went right back to "okay, is XXXX there?" and then when I stayed silent "are you still there?" before disconnecting.

Another one added to my block list but this one annoyed me enough to fill out the ftc complaint form which I never bother to do.

We got a call at our home from this number at 8:18 AM on a Saturday morning! The caller ID says it is "Children's Cancer". Obviously a telemarketing firm for a charity. Even if I had ever heard of it, I'm certainly never giving them any money.

Sick of these  calls every day starting at 8am and as late as 11pm; the caller ID cited 'Children's Nice' huh???
SPAMMER for sure.  Signed up with DO NOT CALL  more than year ago yet has not worked.  Glad I have Caller ID and *69 to ignore these unwanted calls

Don't know if it is Vontage, but the caller ID says American Cancer

Just got a call from this number. I guess people are not picking up their phones with no id because it now shows as Childrens (no apostrophe) Cancer. Who could resist answering that one? Me, for one.

Have had several calls with the name Childrens Canc  I am assuming it is  a request for money. Annoying

Called twice today -- 8:52 AM and interestingly, 8:52 PM

Get frequent calls with this number.  Says on ID  Childrens Canc  I do not answer.  I get a minimum of 5 unknown calls a day. It is awful

Keep getting calls from this number, never leaves a message...no way I'll answer the phone.
