Calling that number I get Vonage, caller ID says otherwise

Actually,
Vonage calls you from this number, as a line check
to test the phone number.  It is standard procedure
prior to a line transfer to make sure the number is working,
and fully functional.

Vonage rocks BTW, me and my wife llove the fact that our Comcast bill
went from $130 per month to $40 per month.

caller will not say anything just hang up

I got this Call Alomost every day and thy don't leave a message some times twice daily. It's bothering me and gives me stress.

Check it out from Google. Found so many negative complains. No more regret not to pick up.

This call is from Vonage, an IP phone service.

Just called and hung up on me when I answered.
Damn shame, this is the first hang up call I have gotten on my cellphone in over 6 months. We just signed up for Vonage phone service on the 29th of June, Got this call just two days later, I hope it's just a confirmation call and not the start of WW3 between Vonage, myself and whoever the hell they might have sold my info to. I should know better than to put my cellphone as contact number, but there's no changing that now.

I had to come back and say that I only received one more call from this number since the first, both calls were on the same day, both hung up on me. Our Vonage service is working good.

Just signed up with Vonage 4 days ago and started getting calls from this number 3 days ago. It better stop. How annoying...

Well, I just got the same exact call as you all mentioned and well I just signed up with Vonage last Friday. I can tell you one way to stop these calls (as long as your cell phone is not used for business purpose), report them as solicitor because technically your cell phone is a private home number and you can take legal actions if they do not stop due to the Federal DNC list.

I was getting the same annoying calls, so I emailed Vonage.  Here is what they said...

'I understand you are concerned about the calls received from the number 1-732-907-2113.

it seems that the call has been placed by our Sales Department. I have submitted a request so that you may not receive calls from that number anymore. I appreciate your patience in this regard.

If you have any questions, your Vonage team is available to assist you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Contact us whenever and however it suits you!'

I doubt they'll stop, but I guess the only other option will be to report them to the no call list.

Receive constant calls from this number even though I am not interested

I DON'T have Vonage and never have. So why do they need to call me 2+ times a day to "check my line"?

Glad you're happy with Vonage, but the rest of us are a little annoyed.

Same annoying calls all holiday season.  Got their customer service number off the web: 1-VONAGE-HELP (1-866-243-4357).  Polite agent took my name and home phone number and said it will go on their no-call list.  Yeah-sure!

we are getting calls from this number for the past month!!! how annoying. they would not leave a message and we do not pick up because we know it's junk.

Starting on 1/20/2010, I'm getting calls from this number. Which is kinda odd since I only had my number for two weeks tops. Called Vonage help and been added to "Do Not Call List". We will see if that stop the calls or not. I'm not holding my breath on that one.

Soon I got my number. I added it to the 'National Do Not Call Registry'.

I was on the phone with Vonage via my MajicJack in the process of cancelling my account (for the third time in two months...I might add) and received a call from this number.
