- z1queenieThis number called me twice yesterday. It said Marketing Strategies and a number. No state, just a number. I just figured it was phone spam and/or somebody's collection agency and ignored it. I work from home and turn the phone off as I have Caller ID. You will get my voice mail. But, If I don't recognize you and you don't leave a message, you won't get a return call.
I really like the idea of forwarding those kinds of calls to some other number. I will have to try that with my mortgage company, CitiMortgage.- Caller: Marketing Strategies

- Personal or not personal? replies to Patricia Kelley| 1 replyPatricia,
As a Market Research firm, you do serve a good purpose and whether the callee is pleasant or mean, it is 'not personal'. It is a knee-jerk reaction to telemarketing, which is rampant. Market Research is quite different from telemarketers (robo-calls) so I handle it differently. I responded to a Market Research call last night and was glad to participate because it was on health care issues. By law, the party being called (whether telemarket or market reseasrch) must actually 'tell' the caller to "take me off the call list", otherwise they are not allowed. I hate to be bothered with robo-call machines and can do little about it - but when I get a live person, I either participate (almost never), or ask (respectfully), to be removed from their phone list. Then they are happy to hit the internal 'do not call' space and I receive no further calls from them.
Patricia, so long as you spar with those who are disgruntled, you are giving them power to disrupt your self-esteem and dismantle any peace and serenity. They (and I) do vent about robo and telemarketing calls, however, it should not be aimed at the caller in a personal attack. You have a job and if you will not take their criticism personal - you will enjoy your job better and be grateful each time you flip the light switch and the light comes on - which means the bill has been paid. Give yourself a great big hug, then just don't respond in any fashion to any new postings - including mine. I accidentally ran into this website and will not be back to read any replies.
God bless you - now that statement is meant personally. :-) - AnnoyedWe have no idea why this person/business/whatever keeps calling. How can we know what it's about if they don't leave messages? This is so annoying.
- Bev replies to Brenda| 1 replyThanks so much for the information. I went to their site and made
my do not call request. They keep calling my cell phone. - Shaniqua replies to Patricia KelleyYou're an ignorant [***] Patricia. The law states that if I ask to be removed from your calling list, that you do so. This is regardless of the rules for the "do not call" list. Now kindly [***] off and stop calling me and maybe try a decent job. The disability crap is not an excuse for being a [***] parasite.
- ShaniquaBeen calling daily since 23 December. Clearly Patricia and her cronies don't understand the law which states that if I ask to be removed from the calling list, that they do so.
- Who wants to know? replies to BevSorry, but you would have to be a complete idiot to give them your phone number AND name AND email address to be put on the do not call list. Welcome to the world of confirming that your number is a good number and can be sold the marketeers everywhere! Enjoy the phone spam.
Think about it...
Just hang up next time, or have your carrier block the number if it repeats. - Leslie| 1 replyThey are a pain in the ass. 2 Calls within a 2 hr time frame. WTF...did not answer either call. They wasting their time. Knock it off already. Don't THESE companies ever google their pone numbers and see that we DO NOT WANT TO BE BOTHERED BY this BULLCRAP AT DINNER TIME ????

- ValTI have on a daily basis been called by this phone number. As it stands, we've had a death in the family and of course I jump each time the phone rings, waiting on details from the family. Today alone, I have received a call from this company 4 times. The last one was at 7:30PM. I looked on their site and I tried to contact someone and got a recorded message telling me that the office is closed at 5:30 PM est. I am in the est calling area, so I can only chalk this call up to harassment. It is on my nerves and seems to me that something needs to be done to stop this outfit from calling people repeatedly. I have reported this phone number to Verizon, my local police, and the FCC. I hope that something stops and very soon.

- Annoyed by Market Strategies Internation| 1 replyAfter receiving the third call from these para-telemarketers (survey takers) in just four days, I asked the caller what it would take to get them to stop calling us? The caller explained, 'with attitude' that they are not subject to the do not call list. So, I repeated the question and was told, again with much attitude, "Well, you have to take the survey to get off the call list." At this, I reported that I already had their company name, address and telephone number (Market Strategies International, 800-420-9366, 17430 College Parkway, Livonia, MI 48152), and would file a telephone harassment complaint in Wayne County, Michigan courts if they continued to call after we had repeatedly requested they stop calling us. The caller started to stammer and stutter, so I demanded to speak to a supervisor. When the supervisor came on the line, she apologized for the repeated calls and assured me that our numbers would be added to their "Internal Do Not Call" list. We'll see...

- fight back replies to GoYou did it exactly the right way with their Do Not Call website: just enter bogus junk for the 'required' name and email address. The only accurate info should be your phone#.
Nice bonus side effect could be that they then sell the bogus name+email that you associated with your phone# to other telemarketers, oops, I mean 'market survey' pests, thus helping to corrupt their cross-referenced databases. - tomI do not accept any calls form anyone I do not know..my number is unlisted and I pay extra for that service to avoid this type of call.

- wrlwrlwrlI went to their website and ordered them to drop my number .Better yet I have added their number to my phone service that allows me to list their number and forward all calls from them to another pesky callers number. They might as well play with each other.
