- Wait a minute... replies to Patricia KelleyFaxes, If they are junk faxes they are illegal under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991, and you can be sued in small claims court and lose $500 per violation. Unless, the end user gave permission for you to fax them under a established business relationship or an emergency purpose. So the DO NOT FAX ME ANYTHING is double legislation and if that bill were to pass, their would be court challenges to it. But the DO NOT MAIL ANYTHING would probally pass if it were to be brought up again, because going green is the new fad, and people don't want to see waste.
- 1201SLD734-542-7758 just called, would not tell me what the call was for/about, so that was that. If the caller had said research for Medicare or some such, I might well have participated in the survey.

- UnknownInstead of using the telephone and giving those communication companies more profit, why not use the United States Postal Service so they can get out of the red. Post offices around the country are scheduled to be closed due to a deficit and that will mean more unemployed people seeking benefits. AND, that way, people can choose to respond without those annoying calls. I'm sure more people would be impacted by postal closings than telemarketers!!!!
- Ace replies to Patricia KelleyHey Stupid, just exactly what in the HELL do you think "do not call this number again" means? You claim to have a college education, but you obviously have no common sense, morals, decency, or ethics. When someone makes it obvious that thay do not want to receive calls from bottomfeeders like you you should have the common DECENCY to place them on the do not call list without requiring them to put in your scumbag companies rquired specific terminogy, especially when they have not been informed that that is the only way to force you to do the decent and moral thing. I have had telemarketers ASK me if I would like to be placed on their do not call list. Has it ever occured to you to show even THAT much human decency? Obviously not. Besides, most survey operations are only thinly disguised telemarketing shemes who are only exploiting a technicality in the law. I am over 90% sure that the REAL end objective of what you do is to convince people to send you or your company some of their hard earned money for something. There ARE real jobs out there that you could do, even with severe disabilities. Get off your [***] and stop feeling sorry for yourself. Get a clue, Get a life, and get a respectable job.
- Ace replies to Mister MicrophoneCool. How do you do that? Can it be done with any phone or is it a special feature that you have to get?

- kwf replies to BrendaThank you for this information. I just went online to the link you provided and submitted the form.
- Ace replies to RedRed, it's a waste of time. File with the FTC at 877-382-4357 along with your Attorney Generals Consumer Protection Office as well as the AG of the state they are calling from. If enough people do this each time they call maybe something will finally get done.
- Ace replies to Patricia KelleyPK-You get treated like dirt because you ARE dirt, you sanctimonious, self ritchious douchbag.

- Ace replies to Channel RameyChannel, you make me sick. There are already too many bottomfeeders like
you out there hiding behind the first ammendment to try to justify what they do. It puts you in the same category as porn peddlers. Freedom of speech does NOT give you the right to intrude on peoples personal privacy. PERIOID!!!!!!!!!! - Ace replies to PP, make something up. DUH!!!!
- Michelle replies to BrendaThanks for the info, it was helpful. Hopefully we will stop getting calls!
- In Ohio replies to JenniferThis company left a 10 minute voice mail with nothing on it.
I called mr smith at 734 542 7600 and told him for his company not to call again. - My phones are programmedThis number appeared as a missed call, but no message was left. i don't know the caller, so I came to this site.
Only numbers I have personally programmed into the phone system can cause my phones to ring. Calls from all other numbers will automatically activate voicemail prompts. If the caller has a legitimate concern, has integrity and has professional phone sensibilities, then that person will leave a message.
When I see that a missed call is from a totally unfamiliar number with no name or that the call is blocked--and the caller did not leave a message--I know that my way of managing my calls is working for me. This system helps keep out calls from people who obviously have something to hide. If you're not hiding something, then go ahead and leave a message.
If I do not know you personally, my phone system will not recognize you, and you will not be able to cause my phones to ring. The only thing you will hear is a set of voicemail prompts inviting you to state your business. The door is still open. If you choose not to leave a message, when invited to do so, then you are the one who has shut that open door.
Call all you want. The phones will not ring unless I tell them to ring.- Caller: Unsatisfied Annoyance Caller

That's a great idea. You probably won't run out of toll-free numbers to forward the calls to due to overload of these numbers. I have forwarded calls to the time and temperature recording in various domiciles. Just keeping people informed of the weather and the time in places they may find themselves. Just doing my part.- Call type: Telemarketer
