I would like to say this....it is a shame that you can get over 5 calls that have been answered and then hung up on. I have gotten 9 calls today. Thank you for those whom have posted not to be contacted form. For those of you that work for this firm, I wish you the best in all you do but I don't pay every month a large bill to be called so many times for nothing. Not all of us are on the normal schedule of 9-5 and my sleep is very important to me. If I answer by God say something.

I work for MSI Research and have worked in the Telephone Call Center industry for 16 1/2 years. This month we are conducting an important study for the Federal Government that they pay us to do. I called a lady in Pennsylvania and we have to speak to the one of the heads of the household 18 years of age or older. Her son was very polite and said we cld call back in 30 min. I got the call again 30 minutes later and asked for her. She came to the phone and said "Don't you know I am mowing my lawn". I kindly said I'm sorry I did not know you were mowing your lawn". She in her very rude fashion and manner called me a SNOTTY BROAD for NO REASON. I did nothing and I was very nice to her. Lady you had no right to call me that period.Did it make you feel good or feel important to do that lady from Pennsylvania? Are you going to tell everyone at work and in stores and on busses and trains you did this. Just so you know-Nobody gives a damn about this and will laugh at you for even saying something like that. You are a rude @#$%%^. Another lady I called tonight in Michigan I called and asked her the same things. She said take me off your DAMN List. I told her I would do that very nicely but could not guarantee another survey company and not us probably would call her and to make sure that she lets them all know. She said RUDELY AND MEAN "You have no rights to say anything and shut up lady". She said how's this for ya-"I am reporting you to the ATTORNEY GENERAL"S office. Never was I allowed to say anything. She said I had no rights to say anything. First of all lady just so you know-The Federal government pays for us to do these surveys and under the DO NOT CALL LAW surveys are exempt and we can LEGALLY CALL YOU regardless of how rude,mean, and nasty you are to us. I do have rights under FREEDOM of SPEECH of the US constitution to say anything I want to and no rude selfish B@#$%% has the right to do that to people only trying to make a living.The state Attorney General's office does not even govern the Do NOT call laws anymore. It changed in June 2003 when the No Call list was passed The DO NOT CALL law will never change no matter how rude,mean,crude or nasty you are to us because the Federal Government depends on us to do these surveys. And they always will. Be rude,mean and nasty to someone who can do something about it. We can't and they can't. The American people all they have to do is read on DONOTCALL.gov on the internet and it explains all of this. Also the other lady who called me that horrible name-the SNOTTY BROAD-All I was trying to do was ask your interest in doing the survey-I said nothing rude or unprofessional. Each and every night I have to put up with people like you saying these things and saying we have no rights to talk when we do under FREEDOM OF SPEECH of the constitution. Have you read that MAAM? Maybe you should refresh your memory.All you would of had to say was I am NI or I would rather you not call me again. I want everyone on this site to know how selfish you really are. I hope that you get called by every survey company in the entire US and Canada and know you will get called ALOT. I am going to continue to fight for our rights to do these surveys. I have wrote to two of my congressman about this issue and will not quit because I am severely disabled and cannot get SS income and have been fighting for 11 years to get it and cannot even walk. So when you are mean and nasty to someone on the phone or blow a whistle think that that person may be elderly or disabled or only trying to earn a living. I cannot believe people like you two exist in the world and live your life to be rude to everyone. Its a pattern with you people-you probably cut in line,fart in public,run lights, and probably never stop for people in crosswalks.  Anyway KARMA does happen and have watched it happen to someone so remember that. Again,the law will never change. How many more jobs have to be cancelled? Isn't 4 million jobs enough for you people? If I do not work I don't buy anything,I don't pay taxes,I don't go to stores or restaurants and all of those kind of places will fail. When business fail the entire US goes into a terrible recession. I work at MSI the company you guys are talking about here and yesterday got two women on the phone who were the most rudest I had talked to in a while. Then she said "Hows this,not only are you not allowed to talk but I am calling the ATTORNEY GENERAL's office on you people. I don't know about you but under the US CONSTITUTION I do have rights to talk. Maybe you should read a copy of that MAAM in your free time.Also you must have lots and lots of money because to file any case with any attorney in the good ole USA it cost $500.00 minimum per hour and a minimum of $30,000 to $50,000 retainer fee. It is usually the people that we talk to with alot of money who are the mean people and snobs. The Do Not Call list as of September of 2003-from day one gave the rights to regulate telemarketing to the Federal Government and not the states any more. Your efforts to call the ATTORNEY GENERAL's office not only would do you no good AT ALL but would be a waste of time.  All you would of had to say lady from Pennsylvania was I am NI or I do not want to take part and left it at that rather than calling me a name for NO REASON when I did nothing but try to be nice to you.And lady from Virginia all you would of had to say was take me off your list and be nice about it instead of bringing up this negative garbage that would have cost you ALOT of Money and of course done no good. No one has the right to tell me what we can say and what we can't say under the US Constitution and these two ladies need to read this ASAP as well as read a book about Telephone Ettiquette. No matter how rude,crude,mean or nasty you are to us people who are only trying to earn a living and do good for ourselves it will do no good period. The Federal govermnent hires us to do all their work and because of that the law will never change. Save your breath it has been this way for 5 years and no amount of threats,rudness,crudeness or being a jerk is not going to change anything. All of your efforts mean nothing and will do nothing. Gripe at someone who can do something-I can't...I have wrote two letters to my congressmen about this issue and they tell me the same thing and will continue to write them under my free speech rights telling them how much disabled and challenged and elderly people need jobs like this and how bad it would be to get rid of them and they assure me that it is not going to happen and not worry about it. I believe them and will continue to fight because I need this job and even if you tell us you could care less if we have a job or could care less if these calls are exempt the law will still stay the same no matter what.

I am just plain done with this company calling....DONE! I really don't give a rat's behind why you are calling...I pay for the right to use my darn telephone as I see fit. I can only get more ticked that I have called several times for your company to remove me from your calling list also to remove me from the list online.....We don't pay our hard earned money for people to call us during dinner or for that matter to call repeatedly just so you can "have a job". I have worked for survey companies myself for years. I remove those people that have stated that they do not wanted to be contacted with a smile and have had happier people to complete the survey that has being asked. Why don't I work there anymore? I just got tired of people stating the same facts that I am now...it's for me to use not for you all to harass me on. If you get someone on the line, stop being a butt and say something....that is the least that anyone can do.

If you don't want the public to yell, tell you to kiss off, stop calling....and yes after you have requested your number to be removed (IN WRITTING ONLINE DOES COUNT AS WELL) from the calling list, the company must stop calling you because the company can receive a 1500 dollar fine each time they call. Just like a bill collector, junk e-mails. So if you want to push the issue it can be taken to the U.S. Supreme Court. With all the technology there is now, I can track how many times a person calls, from the company and phone number from my computer....at this time MSI has called me 35 times in the past 11 days. "Response to Patricia Kelley" Then why does your company keep calling me when I ask for them not to. I get calls at night when I'm trying to sleep. You mention god striking people down. I'm sure you are a church going person for saying that. get a real job and call people that wants your service, not just calling some list your company bought or stole off the inet.

Patricia?  Would you please kindly and respectfully shut the hell up?  Your "rights" end where my ear begins.  I also have the right to be polite or hateful depending on my mood at the time of your interrupting survey call.  The rest is up to you, sweetheart......love it or hate it.  That's the way the ball bounces.

I just received a call on my mobile phone. I need to look up about what the laws are regarding making survey calls on somebody's mobile. He said it was a survey about my TV watching habits. I asked him nicely "Can I choose not to participate", and he said, "Yes, definitely". I hope I don't get any more calls from them.

5:45 PM Sat. Nov 8, 2008 caller said "He is required to speak to only the man of the household."  Said he was doing a survey for PGE a utility company domiciled in the Pacific Northwest.   Told him we are on the do not call list and it was rude for them to be calling during the dinner hour.

Call me at 5:47pm, did not pick up.

Yes these people are a Telemarketer. They call you and ask questions so they can say they are a Surveyor. But if they say a brand name or a product name they are just marketing to you. The No Call List should apply. Someone with a little money to spare should file suit.

Don't go to these peoples website and put in more information about you for them to sell. The more information you give them the more information they have to sell to someone else to call you or email you or send junk mail to your postal mail box.

I found that it really pisses them off if I ask for their home address and phone numbers. Which you should always do when someone calls you. Get the information and check them out and call them back if you are interested.

If they called you it is a SCAM. Or some way to get your money into their back pocket.

Ask them for their personal email address and try your best to collect all the information you can about them.

Then use their information on all websites that request that kind of information.

Let the spammers spam each other.

They get to keep their job and they don't have to bother the rest of us.

Now go to their website (don't fill out anything) Just get all the information you can and start finding forms on the internet to put their phone, email and mailing address in to.

I say give them a job if they really want one. But their job don't have to be bothering the rest of us. They can call each other and get paid just as much as if they called us.

Market Research is a REAL JOB. Again if I do not work and am on unemployment I do not pay taxes. If all the telemarketers and Market Researchers go to jail,which none of my friends are in jail or ever have been in jail they do not pay taxes and people that are working will pay their taxes for them while they are in there. If I do not work not only do I not pay taxes but will have to beg,lie,cheat or steal to get by or draw WELFARE which YOU and you only will be paying totally for ME. So again this is something you will be paying for and NOT me at all. If the government wanted Market Research surveys to be regulated by the National No Call list then they would of done so in February of 2003 as well as the petition that went around in Spring of 1999-2002. The Federal government hires our research company to do these surveys and depends on us for the research and that is why they will never regulate Market Research. It has been almost 6 years. If anything was going to be done it would of happened by now. Banks are failing all over the country and the economy has failed. Do you really think that they will get up from the White House and regulate something now when the entire country is now in a serious recession. I do not think so at all.

Received call from (734)542-7758 at 1:39pm on Saturday, November 22, 2008. Did not pick up phone because I was just sitting down to lunch. NO message was left on the answering machine. If companies are taking the trouble to call, then they should be required to leave voice messages.

Just so you know, if you people would look at the website donotcall.gov it explains in detail that survey takers/market researchers are not telemarketers. We are not because we do not sell anything at all. I have many friends in the call center business and in telemarketing all in the exempt parts of it-business to business calling and Market Research. No one has gone to jail like so many of you evil jerks thought we would in 2003 when the law was passed. The stupid people at the NO Call list never sent the 15-20 million people a letter stating the exemptions to the rule and had on television every single night for 7 long years how bad all phone calls are and to hang up on every one and not even talk to people calling for a job or your dentist or store calling you to let you know something had come in.It clearly says on their website that we are exempt from no call laws. I cannot believe someone is so cruel to brag on this site that they feel good about taking away someone's hearing or blowing a whistle. It shows how sick the world is when people brag about soemthing like that. Like when I tried to tell someone on the phone about the site and all the geneltmen said "I do not care" over 15 times. That is why America is so messed up. Americans care about me me me me me and no one else and it was not my falt they exempted telephone surveys and I think it is really sick that people would take it out on us when we need jobs so bad now that the economy is losing thousands and thousands of jobs every day. I guess those people that yell and scream at us and never let us talk when we are trying to tell them the honest to goodness truth they can do that all they want for sure but it will not change everything. The gentlemen that says he hates us-if we don't work then he will pay our taxes while we are on unemployment and welfare and if we did go to jail which we did not you would still have to pay taxes on us while we are in there. If you really logically think about it if people do not work they do not buy anything,they do not go out to eat, they buy less and less and less and that trickles down to all the businesses and they will continue to lay off more and more people which means the few people who are working will pay lots of taxes on the people who do not work and also all the businesses that go out of business will also not be paying any taxes since they are out fo business and the ones still here will be paying alot more taxes because of the fewer and fewer businesses that are here. Is canceling all these jobs really a good thing? I do not think so-so if you want to pay lots and lots of taxes just continue to gripe about us. I will continue to fight for our rights and write to my congressmen to get these call center jobs back. I have a right to work just like anyone else and think it is sick and evil and cruel people want to take that away from us.

Rob, you are sick. I cannot believe any one would say that on this site. You should be glad that I am working so I won't have to be on welfare eating up your taxpayer dollars. Also they said all the telemarketers and Market Research people would all be in jail by 2003 and none of my friends in call centers or research companies are in jail which you would also be forking out huge tax dollars for. If I do not work I also do not pay taxes on the unemployment I draw-it is a voluntary tax at the time,not required at that time. You can pay it later the IRS said when you do get a job. I think anyone that would watch the execution of innocent people like research companies that are not trying to sell anything is really cruel. think about it mister...

If you go to the official FTC website DoNOTCALL.gov Market Research companies,political polls,charities and any company you have done business with in the past 18 months are 100% exempt from the No Call List. If you click on the tab on this site that says exemptions to the list it tells you in black and white. We do not have to buy the list from the government and download it like the telemarketers do. Of course when you try to educate them about they will say every time "I do not care" many times. That is why the world is so messed up because people are selfish and have this "I do not care" attitude.  I have on and off worked in call centers for 15 years.We are not trying to sell ANYTHING nor rip any one off and never have. The call center I work at has been in business for 35 years and if they had ripped anyone off or tried to sell anything we would not still be in business now. People need jobs. As of two days the unemployment rate is highter than it has been in 34 years. People just want to believe because they are selfish and uneducated that thsi applies to ALL CALLS. The news media made it to where everyone believes it applies to all calls. I've even talked to people that say they even tell their dentist,unemployemnt office and stores not to call them even to verify an appointment or if something they want has came in.If they are going to be like that and jerks then they do not deserve to be helped in any relm of customer service. The bottom line is this-you can be mean,cruel,yelling, mean and nasty or whatever but it is not going to change anything at all. The federal government depends on Market Research companies for all their studies and work and that is the purpose for the exemptions. I am disabled and have been since 1999 and have a  year college degree and cannot get any other type of work due to cognitive,coordinational as well and mental and physical disabilities. I have been fighting with SS for 9 years and have to work until I am able to win my case. I have no other choice,otherwise I will die. It is not as if I can crawl under a bridge somewhere. People like me which I work with quite a few of them that are challenged, need these jobs to be able to survive. I did not sign this petition to the law and saw it and it clearly said the law applied to "sales calls only"/telemarketers. People in Market Research are not telemarketers nor do they "solicit" anything. If we do not work we do not pay taxes which you will have to pay and not me- nor will we be paying into unemployment which would cause the amount available to you when you are out of a job to go down as well.
