- EJThey called a short while ago after another had called me four times every couple hours. My phone showed the number and Virginia. I didn't answer. I don't owe any one anything and I'm sick of them using my cell phone minutes. They must be stopped . I have better ways to use my valuable time than answering "phony" calls. My minutes are for emergency only. They don't fit into that catagory.

- Caller: Recovery Portfolio or Diverfied Recovery Portfolio
- Call type: Debt collector
- William replies to Lou Washington RecoverySounds like scammers are now spoofing that company's phone numbers.
The company needs to pester its favorite legislators to go after the phone companies to control the spoofing, as it harms their ability to conduct their business, initially. But we are the customers of the phone companies, and we need help. The people the debt collecting companies call are NOT their own customers.
It's interesting when the interests of two businesses collide in the legislative chambers, but for now it's the average American that is being harmed by all of these scam calls. - Joanne| 1 replyAnother unwanted number.
