Claimed to be a law office with a pending case filed against me, barely spoke english and the number he gave to contact supposed attorney of complainant is same number the call was rcvd from. When you call the number you get put on hold then hung up on.

18 months ago he called me and said that the police would arrest me at my workplace.  This hasn't happened.  He wanted 5000 dollars to settle a debt he claimed I had with a Payday loan company.  The funny thing is I applied for a PayDay Loan and I got the loan.  I currently have a payday loan so he is looking for away to get money from people he thinks are financially and emotionally vulnerable.

I just received the same call from the number threating me of a law suit. They have indicated the sheriff will be at my place of employment for the arrest of a payday loan that was not paid. I have contacted my attorney to call them at the number they provided. They have also stated that if I do not take care of this within 30 min they have no way of stopping the Sheriff to arrest me. Because of this call, it had triggered my axiety along with panic attacks; I cannot even function at work right now because of my nerves. They need to stop collection agencies harressing. I think a class action should be filed for this type of harrassment.

I have been receiving threatening calls about paying legal consequences from this number at my job. I know that it is a phony becaus they have called before with another number. I want i to stop. they sound middle eastern!

MY SON RECEIVED A CALL SIMILAR TO THIS  AND I AM WONDERING IF IT IS TRUE. I AM HIS MOTHER AND I LEAVE OUT HERE IN WEST TEXAS AND I AM AFRAID THAT HE WILL GET ARRESTED. COULD SOMEBODY GIVE ME SOME ADVISE. DOES SOMEBODY KNOW IF THIS NUMBER IS FOR REALS. BECAUSE THIS LADY DID NOT WANT TO GIVE HIM  ANY INFORMATION WHAT IT WAS ABOUT  SHE JUST TOLD HIM THAT THEY WOULD SERVE HIM PAPERS  AT HIS WORK AN MAYBE AN ARREST WARRANT BY 4 O'CLOCK TODAY. PLEASE GIVE ME SOME ADVISE IS FOR REAL.

I received the same call just a couple of hours ago. It scared me at first, but after reading everyones feedback, I'm convinced it's a scam trying to collect. I have contacted my attorney and it is my understanding if a client had filed bankruptcy, in which I did, they by law cannot come after you. The lady could not give me any information, however I did get a case number from her. Case numbers do not look like this from Los Angeles Sheriffs department. She told me that once I make the payment to contact her at her direct line which is completely different than what she provided. Soon as my attorney call me back, I will have them contact this lady. By the way, the lady told me her name is Michelle Downs.

Is the name she provided to you? Also, did she sound like she's from another country because she did not speak english very well.

Hello the same woman called my job and my mother's home phone number. And she was middle eastern and couldn't speak very good english.
I don't know how that got my social number. They claimed that i had a judgement against me and i will be picked up for arrest at my job today..
I have not been arrested yet i called back she won't even talk to me she keeps hanging up in my face. lol

These people are claiming that i should pay 5000.00 or i will be arrested at work.

They wouldn't even give me the information of who is allegedly suing me.  If they have given you that information and you are familiar with the company call them.  I had this happen before and when I contacted the company they knew nothing of these collectors.

I just received a call from this number, telling me to call another number to speak with a lawyer. That guy claimed he wanted my lawyer's information to forward lawsuit information about a payday loan I supposedly got and didn't pay back, and that my local law enforcement agency would be coming to arrest me tomorrow. He then asked me if I had any questions for him, and when I started asking who did I get money from? when did I get it? when did I not pay it back?, etc. he hung up on me. I have reported this number to the WV Attorney General's Office. 3 weeks ago, same type of call from similar number telling me my credit card company was suing me for having an unpaid balance - hung up called credit card company and guess what...no idea what these people were talking about. IT'S A HUGE SCAM GOING ON EVERYWHERE!!!

i had a client contact me in regards to a phone call from this number! this company or group is a complete scam and are operating over seas with a California area code!!!!! this is not their only number, i spoke with Connie Carter at the local attorney generals office, apparently they are onto these people!!!!! and have located the exact location from which the calls are being made!!! **********DO NOT SPEAK TO THESE PEOPLE*******THEY HACKED INTO A DATA BASE WITH SSN AND DOB INFORMATION AND ARE USING IT TO SCAM AND STEAL PEOPLES FUNDS!!!!! my client had her back account completely drained in less than 18hrs after giving these people her bank info!!!!! they took her for over $4700.00!!!!

They also threatened my arrest at 4  oclock at my job or home they were also middle eastern and the lady was rude and  hard to understand

They left messages on my  cell phone and home phone that i was going to jail and see if i laugh sitting in jail because i have a payday loan that i never paid. i know its scam because ive never had a payday loan so um not worried. I am concerned because they gave me my SSN and i have no clue how they got it  or my SSN.

My mother in law for a call from this number a few weeks ago and panicked and closed her account. I just got a call from them today asking for my husband and I just kept saying "Who is this" and the middle eastern guy asked me if I was crazy and he was so rude but I just kept asking "Who is this" and he kept getting pissed. I knew it was a scam because they called my mother in law. It's so fun to mess with these guys cause they are not gonna win lol!

Calls like this to me are entertainment.  I sure hope they call me :)

A woman spoke with me on my parents phone and said at 4pm that I was going to be arrested. I asked about making payment arrangements and they said no it was way too late. Claiming it was for a payday loan that I know I never had. She also said they were putting my social security check on hold for the next 3 years. My anxiety is through the roof right now. She barely spoke English.

Unbelievable!  I called the number back to say how I googled the number and I see that it is a scam, to take me off the calling list.  The guy I was speaking with flipped out saying "Why would you google us?  You can't believe what it says on google!  Google says that Bin Laden is still alive."  I think everyone should call this number and tell them that we know what they are doing is a scam.  Let's see how they like getting annoying phone calls
