People need to stop using stuff like this to say nasty things

I just got a call from this number today. If I have a number programmed into my phone, the person's name shows up. If I don't get a name I don't answer the phone.

I've gotten several calls daily. I want it to stop.

I just got a call from this number, received the same call before but the number was blocked.  They tried to tell me that my computer was infected with a virus and that they were from Microsoft Online Support.  I'm a computer tech and know that he was talking a load of bunk.  

Beware, he was trying to get access to my computer, I'm assuming he would have you try the remote access option and then you'd be screwed and he'd have access to all your information on your computer.

I just got a call from this number saying they would give me  a vacation package in exchange for going to their resort presentation. Definitely a scam.

The "National Gifting Center", called my cell phone today using this phone number.  The voice on the other end identified himself as "Tim Watkins" and told me that I had won one of four fabulous prizes (a vacation, a SUV, a TV, or cash).  He only had to confirm that I was eligible by asking me three questions: whether I was married, over 26, and earned $60K+.  I reluctantly confirmed (after making sure this bozo really knew nothing about me).  He then transferred me to his supervisor who gave me more details about the prizes.

The supervisor, "Ray Smith" tried to set up an appointment for me and my spouse to attend an award ceremony, where the prizes would be given out, with three other couples.  This was to take place at Global Discovery in Mansfield, MA.  I told "Ray" that I needed to confirm the information he had given me before I committed.  He said I could call him back at 202-503-9913 x.777.

As soon as I got off the phone I searched on the web.  I found many complaints about "National Gifting Center" but no outright allegations of fraud.  Then I searched for "Global Discovery" and found that this company is some kind of broker for timeshares.  The "award ceremony" was likely an aggressive sales pitch to join their club.

So it appears that "National Gifting Center" makes their living by reeling in suckers for Global Discovery.

This guy called me around 10:27pm at night and telling me that he has spoken to me before about my toyota car warranty from his company but today he is calling me from some personal internet phone because he like my voice and want to know more about me.   Also i heard someone else their laughing & giggling.  i am so pissed cuz i was sleeping and never ever had any phone call like this in my past life.  He was also asking my age and told me he is calling me from pakistan and he never been to USA his name is Ramos Stephen. The way he speak english sound like an indian or pakistani guy.  I just lost my sleep because of him its 01:20am in the morning and i am still thinking why he called me and how he got my ph no. Please someone do something about this guy.

He called me at 3 AM asking me "hey, is this billy?" and when i said "no, wrong number" he said "oh... can we talk anyway?"

he called again two more times until 4 am, really annoying. I told him if he calls again i'm going to call the police.

I received a call this morning from this number. A female with an East Indian accent told me she was with the NIS (National Internet Service) and that there have been a number of virus showing up on my computer. She said that I needed to download a file from www.teamviewer.com to correct these errors. I told her I worked in the IT field and that there's no way she could see what was on my computer. She hung up on me.

Does anybody know what the connection is to this down loadable file?

Call from this number offering cleaning services.  Maybe.  It was really hard to understand the accent on the guy calling.  Definately a telemarketing call in violation of Ontario and Canadian privacy legislation.  Reporting to government agency.

Also received this call moments ago. East Indians claiming they are in a local area selling a duct cleaning service for the furnace and A/C in the house. Either a bunch of scams or cheap companies using google cause they cant afford a real phone line. WHAT A JOKE.

the email I use is a Yahoo Account...

I am wondering if anyone else here has any of these things in common as to how these scammers got our numbers and any credible information that might have...

they are wanting people to down load this file so they can track what you do, your accounts, passwords, social security numbers, your contacts, EVERYTHING that you do on your computer...sad thing is, there is going to be a lot of people fall for it

I received the same call this morning (Sun June 26 2011). Female with East Indian accent calling from 760-705-8888 claimed to be with National Internet Service and told me that my computer had a virus and that I had to download an application from www.TeamViewer.com. When I asked her how she knew my computer had a virus she said she could see it. When I told her I worked in the IT field and that she was a liar she hung up. I don't know what the connection to Team Viewer is. Anybody?

I do not want any phone calls what so ever from this number! Anyone trying to call me from this number will be reported to the police!

Just i got a call from this number, they say are whit hydro offering promotion whit monthly sawing.
I wonder from where they had my exactly address and name.

I just received a call from this number stating that the health department was coming next day. A BIG Scam

caller who i had a hard time understanding tried to say they were a gov. agency and that there is an inspection in the morning. fraud.
