This SFI calles me at least three time a day.  Evan on a Sunday.  I've gotten two calls today 7/20/08.  I never answer the phone.  I have caller ID and don't know this number.  I wish they would give up.  I'm on the do not call list.

I have been receiving these often.  I called them number and a recording said that they were Strategic Fundraising and that they were probably calling on behalf of a charity or political group I supported.  The recording said that if I pressed zero and entered my phone number, I would no longer be called.  However, each time I have tried that, as soon as I enter the last digit of my phone number, I get a busy signal so I don't know if it has worked.

if you call the number back then you'll get a recording it is for fundraising.  i listened and heir was an option to put your name on their "do not call" list so i did.  we'll see how that goes!

Continuous calls one to two times a day-- evening. No one says anything

I get calls everyday from this phone number even though I'm on the do not call list. What do they want?

Thanks for the posts about this number!  We too are on the don't call list, but have been getting many DAILY polictical and charity calls.

 We just got a call from this number (763-392-5981) today, Sunday 8-11-8 at 12:50pm.  We didn't answer, and then checked online and found these posts.

 These kind of calls will stop when someone comes up with a service that allows you to enter numbers you'll accept and reject all the others, unless it's an emergency number like from a hospital, fire dept, police, or your local utility.

this pestering calling was annoying, they even call at 9 PM tonight and never left a message. we get up for work at 4 AM...
this was getting ass-a-nine several times every other day...

I'm tired of getting hangup calls from 763-392-5981. If they are a legitimate charity or political organization, why don't they leave a message.  Now I'm mad at whoever this is. I guess it's John McCain's political outfit, as others have called back this number to see who's bugging us.   These are sneaky tactics and put a dark aire over their cause.  Do it right, or don't do it at all.

We've been getting these calls regularly for awhile, too. I just now found this site. For those who recently did as well and didn't read any of the Do Not Call reference posts, go back to Page 1 and about halfway down you'll find "DRH" with a post giving the SFI website and a link to its "Do Not Call" page. I entered our home numbers into it. From the website they seem to be a legitimate telemarketing/fundraising company, especially since they list all of their location addresses and contact phone numbers on their site. I may be naive about their Do Not Call offer but they seemed serious about it.  Other posters to this site claim it worked for them, hopefully it will for the rest of us.

I just received a call today from this number.  I called it back and hit"0" to be added to their "do not call" list.
