If this is Hope House, then why does their caller ID say Park Avenue Thr

Wanted to 'verify my name and address'.  I am on the do not call list and they did not identify their organization.  'Park Avenue Thr' was on the caller id.

I keep getting calls from this number too. Now I know why. Hope House is a charity I used to donate to. They pick up clothes, etc. (I stopped donating when the kept forgetting to leave a receipt for tax purposes.)

If this is Hope House and not a scam, why do they show the name Park AvenueThr?

Repeatedly receive calls from 770-807-3915.  Caller ID reads Park Avenue Thr (thrift??).  We never answer calls from numbers we don’t recognize.  It’s time to block this number.

Gregg Kennard is the exact spelling. And I have talked with him ... tracked him down after getting one of his organization's scam calls on Thanksgiving Day, just as we were sitting down to dinner. I was outraged. He promised to have my name removed ... and it was for awhile. This was years ago. Still get calls, got one this a.m.  Slime-balls. Charity Navigator has $1 million dollar operating budget threshold so some ‘legit’ charities will never be assessed by Charity Navigator. Guidestar would be a better firm to check with in terms of nonprofit health and legitimacy.

The caller id told me "Park Avenue Thr".  That may be an alias for these Hope House characters.  It has to be a scam.  What else could it be?

It is increasingly common for scammers to spoof the name and phone number for the better known charities.  The safe way to donate is to call the charity on a number you lookup yourself, or go to their website.

This number called me and left no voice mail message. Their caller ID was “PARK AVENUE THR”. According to a Google Search, this telephone number belongs to “Hope for Domestic Violence”. Further Internet research indicates Hope for Domestic Violence is associated with NSPIRE Outreach. I think the pink bags they leave at my mailbox also say this.

According to http://give.org/charity-reviews/national/Reli ... eville-ga-44359 NSPIRE Outreach will not provide Better Business Bureau information so they can be evaluated. Do your own Google Search of NSPIRE Outreach. You will find many Attorneys Generals investigating them and TV stations investigating them. Make you own educated decision if you should contribute to them.

Calls but don't answer as says Park Avenue

I have tried to donate in the past, but they did not pick up my stuff.  I still get calls, but I do not answer.

They call about 3 times a day. ID says Park Avenue Thr. They never leave a message.

This # calls incessantly all day long- 8:15 A.M.-sometimes 9:00P.M. so annoying- will never donate to annoyance!!!!!!!!!! Stop This Craziness!!!!!!!!!
