I have donated to the hope house on many occasions, very courteous and polite and they picked up my donations from the house promptly.  This is a great charity.  Please support, they are helping mothers and children get back on their feet. Call  daily for a year or so....

Despite the fact that I have that number blocked on our phone, they have called 6 times today, the last 5 of which were in a 15-minute period.  Do they not GET IT???

Hope House calls twice a day even after repeated request to stop calling .
Any [***] that does that cant be lagit.

I doubt they are legit since they ignore state and federal do not call laws. When they are told to put me on their "do not call" list they are legally required to stop calling. However, they continue to call and call and call.

Frank, I have tried to call the numbers listed on their website and have reached no one.  A message saying you have reached their call center and to leave a message is NOT reaching them and their website is not helpful.  If you cannot reach them, they don't exist.

One of my clients is Goodwill International, Inc. and I assure you that they ARE a worthwhile charity.  The Salvation Army is also legit.  Hope House may also be legit but their clothing drive service is a scam and is giving other legitimate charities a bad name.  

Hope House won't stop calling me either, after repeated attempts to get them to stop.

Just to let you know the American Kidney organization has another company do the calling, pick up and selling.  They keep most of the money so the American Kidney ends up with hardly anything.  I just take my things to the Goodwill. I know that way all the money benefits the needy.

Hope House is legitimate and they are real..they perform good works...I try to support them as much as I can, but cannot do as much as they wish ...
 in these days, solid and legitimate charities are in need...Hope House is one of the few that administers and distributes their donations well and correctly ...

The fact that "Shannon" has never responded to the replies to "her" in nearly a year, without any further proxies to explain the multiple calls, is glaring proof of the scam nature of the operation. None of the other "defenders" have responded, either. It is interesting to see how "business" assumes the gullibility of the majority of the population. There are those who would see the few "defenses" and "explanations" and, soft of heart and head will go with them as truth-tellers.

I'm reporting this number for hassement to the authorties.

The blessing is in the giving.  Don't stress over what the reciever does with it.  He'll get his and you will get yours!  Keep smiling.  Be happy!

Hope House is a very legit charity.  I've donated several times and know children and mothers who have received their collected donations.  If you are looking for an awesome charity, visit www.fostercares.org - Rachel Ewald is a true hero to hundreds of foster children in GA.  Hope House does something similar, but I know Rachel personally and she would never cheat the children she cares for.

I will never donate to these harassers! They have called us for 2 years solid, since we moved and got a new number. They call almost daily and oftentimes 3 times in a day. They have called early in the morning and late at night. I have only answered one time, and no one responded. If I never answer my phone for another 2, even 20 years, I know they will still continue to call my house for that long.

But the thing I HATE the most about Hope House and NSPIRE for that matter, both are Atlanta charities, is that when the call goes to voice mail, their phone leaves the loudest, ear-splitting tone on my machine. I have been woken up out of a sound sleep at 8 am by this tone. I have programmed all of their numbers in my phone so they don't ring, but then this tone they harass you with had made it so I have been forced to turn off my answering machine permanently just to get away from it.

FINALLY,  I think you are the only person who has addressed the ear-splitting noise. I have posted about it several times, finally someone knows what I have been going thru. I don't care how good or wonderful this charity is or how much thy do for people or how many people they help/helped/or will help if if they continually [***] the people they are trying to get money and/or donations from.

I posted about this too, both Hope House and NSPIRE call daily up to three times a day, no one answers the phone if you do pick up, and they leave an ear-splitting noise that comes thru the phone when the answering machine picks up. They are the only charities that have done this non-stop for 2 years solid.

I have received calls from Hope House many many times, & I've even donated to them a couple of times. Well, the calls have been coming at crazy times of the day lately & on Friday morning they called at 8:00am...the call woke my sick 3 year old up & when I answered, they hung up before I could even say "hello". So I called the number right back & it went to a voicemail. I left a VM saying "Please take my number off your list, the calls are just coming too early & too late in the evening for my small children's sleeping schedules". And I left my phone number so they could take it off their list. Well, today (Sunday) I received a call from them & I said "Hello" & a male voice said "I'll kill that bi*ch, naaah just kiddin" & hung up! I am a bit scared & not really sure what to do! I called Comcast & they told me how to block the number & tomorrow I'm going to report it to their harrassing calls department, but I'm not sure what that will do. I'll also try calling Hope House headquarters tomorrow. This is disgusting that someone is on staff for them that would call & say that someone.

this organization still continues to call, even though I have told them not to, They called everday from Mon. 8-13th to Sun. to 8-19th. This is lowest of telemarketers, they need some etiquette training.
