There are numerous charities that use Hope House
in the state of Georgia.
In our county of Pickens there was a group that gave shelter
to addicted adult women and they called themselves House of
Hope for Women. They solicited by phone.
Hope House of North Georgia has given 430 children a safe place
to come to when they are removed from an unsafe home environment.
We do not do phone solicitations.
Please don't besmirch our efforts to help these children in their
time of need.

I just got one and when I said "Hello", he asked for my husband, then wouldn't leave a message.  I would think if it was a clothing drive it wouldn't be a secret????

This man calls on a regular basis and hangs up when I say my husband isn't here.

Have received 3 phone calls today....they hang up immediately.

I keep getting calls from these folks even after I told them not to call anymore.

they are doing the same thing to me now and i am a heart patient
i know they live in lilburn ga.sorry for u and me i reported them to comcast phoner service.

'why' do they not take 'no'' as as answer then??and leave people alone??

i have found out they have comcast servicr i made a complaint and they hang up on me too, i am tired of it.

i am sick of these people caling hanging up al hours of the day or night,8am 9pm and you tell
them not to call they just call the next morning-they will not leave a message on a phone service
i try to sleep during the day i am a heart patient-this and only have 20%of my heart working

If you don't need or want the items, why not give them away?  If someone makes a small profit by processing these items, so what?  You've reduded household clutter and others benefit from your unwanted items that you don't use.

"Charities" of all kind call and mail us asking for donations.  The choice is simply; give or not.  I would be more cautious about giving money than unwanted items lying around the house.  I get the continuous calls aspect as it's not likely that the same individual will have donations so frequently.   The American Kidney Fund calls my house about twice each year; in the spring and fall when I am more likely to have items to donate.  If I'm not interested, I don't respond to the call.  Calls may be screened with caller ID, if you have it.

These slimeballs have been told multiple times to stop calling me, but they continue. Since they can't obey state and federal laws they do not deserve any support. Report their illegal calls each and every time and help shut them down.

I have donated to them as well.  The provide clothing and appliances to battered women and their children.

These people will not stop calling me.  I am a cancer patient.  They wake me from naps or early bed times.  They are never there when I answer the phone.  I emailed them and begged them to stop calling me.  I told them that I will donate anything I have to the American Cancer Society and the Salvation Army when I am gone.  It will be a cold day in hell before I give them one shred of clothing because of their harassing calls.  I do donate to the Abused Women and Children of Gwinnett County who send out yellow post cards twice a year.  They don't bother me.  They give me a telephone number to call if I have anything to give and I call them, giving them tons of clothes and furniture.

I called them back but, of course, they do not answer MY phone calls.

Hope House keeps calling me and I've asked them repeatedly to stop. They never do. This time I didn't pick up and they left no message.

No one speaks.  they call at all hours and on weekends.  I have started to pick up and hang up to avoid the loud sound that comes through the phone after the answering machine has picked up the call.

I receive a call from them at least once every two weeks.
I have donated once before last year and then they call back again in a week or two.
Two weeks ago another regular business Inspire called and my wife said to them "We donated last month. There is a recession going on. How much clothes do you think we have to give away?"
Note to all clothing charities, If we have donated to you, then leave us alone for at least 4-6 months if not we start to feel harassed and end up blocking your number.

I have received a lot of calls from this outfit and I do not believe for a moment that they are legitimate. On two separate occassions I have asked them to remove me from their calling list and it really upsets them. Plus they do not remove me. There used to be another "charity" called "Clothing Pick Up" that used the same scam. I acutally gave them some items a couple of times before I caught on. Maybe the lefit charities who solicit donations by phone should petition the federal and state governments to put a stop to these scammers. They are undermining the work of legitimate charities and creating serious suspicion in the public's mind.

They call me morning/day/night. They are harassing me. I don't care if they are a charity! They should not be allowed to invade my privacy! I thought I had a constitutinal right to privacy.  I guess not. I have told them to stop more than once. You want to support women and children? Visit your local state/county/city shelter and donate food or clothing directly.
