Exact same thing from "Chris St. James" (yeah, right!) on 12/1/and again today 12/6/07.

Don't call them to remove your number, this will only confirm that they have a "live" number and will continue to call!

Ignore them - report them - but, don't call!

Received two messages from Chris St. James.  The first on 19NOV2007, the second on Saturday O8DEC2007, about 6:00 EST.  After reading the posts on 3 different websites,  I won't be calling him back.
What government agency do we contact to report this company?

Received the same message on private phone's voice mail machine. "This is Chris St. James with Broadcom, at (800) 210-2892. I'm calling regarding your credit card balances and the minimum payments that are going up. It is imperative that you call me back. You now qualify for the debt reduction allowance program. Again, my name is Chris St. James, and my phone number is (800) 210-2892. It is imperative that you give me a call." What do we do?

Same as all the rest of these posts.  When you call back this number they answer "Debt Services" which is the same answer for 800-540-5938 (County Research Corp).  So its the same company using multiple names to harass people.
Why don't people just keep calling this number and hang up.  Since the 800 number owner pays per call we could drive up their costs.

I received the same message from good 'ol Chris.  Only problem is that my caller ID shows him as calling from Michigan (231-732-2414) but he leaves the 800-210-2892 call back number.

What a worthless piece of s%!# this guy is.  I tried to call him back just to give him a piece of my mind but received a voicemail.

This guy doesn't understand that he is soliciting to a federal agency and can get in a "little" bit of trouble.

I received a call from 1-800-210-2892 with the exact same message as above at my work office.

Bottom feeding Scum... quit calling my cell phone number ...

Same message from Chris@Broadcom. Gonna call later today and give em an earfull. This is NOT the first time they have called, and this is not the first time I've told them to not call.

I'm going to start asking them to start sending me money soon if they keep harassing me.

I tried to call the number and it is not correct. So I called the michigan number listed above. Data Comm Research is who they answer by.

I got someone on the phone explained the situation, and got hung up on.

Called back, hung up on again.

I called back and guess what.. no immediate answer. I get put on hold forever and a guy comes on and says that the first two people removed my number. Really now - must be a small office that he knows this.

I told him that I've been calling since October to get my number off, how do I know for sure it's been removed. He said it was removed Jan 3 2008.

I finally realize I'm dealing with morons and won't get anywhere...  I'm on a do not call registry, and they are calling a cell phone. If I get one more call, I'm calling a lawyer for harassment.

Number leads to a medical office. Poor folks probably getting a huge bill on their 800 line. Loosers.

Came in on internet only line that has phone recorder attached. I have no home number. Chris from broadcom at 800-210-2892 calling about... phone disconnected.

The call was made on Jan 2 or 3 to my mother in another state who is on my credit card as an additional user.  I don't know how they got her phone number and I don't think the caller necessarily had any information about my specific credit card.  My mother was alarmed about "payments going up"

Work phone called indentified as both Imperial Reasearch & Broadcom on multiple occasions.

I tried to get information on what state Broadcom was operating in the CSR said Canada. Probably a lie.  If anyone can get a stupid operator to reveal their location multiple calls to the state Attorneys General office in that state might shut them down.

my mother in law was receiving these calls and is now convinced that it is a collection agency after my husband. I keep trying to tell her they are just soliciting but she refuses to believe me. It is ruining our relationship with her.

These people need to stop this.

I was called and received the very same mesage but the caller's number came up as 231.732.2400.

At least 2-3 calls a week from "Chris St. James" on my work phone. Same message as the other "Chris St. James" entries. Caller ID displays 2137322401 when the calls come in.
