I screen my calls, so I've not actually spoken with these people, but after dozens of calls they finally left a message on my machine today, and it was, word for word, the "Chris St. James" spiel, allegedly from "Broadcom" and emanating from 1-(800)-210-2892.  That robo-call message came immediately on the heels of one from LIB MGT INC at (231) 732-2401.  I've seen that number appearing in Caller ID at least 3 or 4 times a day (and maybe even more frequent calls have been made, as they never leave messages when I'm not here).

I receive a voicemail everyday from these people, I finally called yesterday and went through the automated system to have my number removed and then I received a call again today! So I decided to get through to a rep, who hung up on me as soon as I told her I wanted my name off the list. I then called back again and the same thing happened but with another person. I am getting furious!! How do I make it stop?!

I just googled the number because I recieved 11 calls from this guy. I'm passing my office to someone else and I don't want to look like a slacker! How?

I got the exact same message today... but the incoming call was from "305-423-1126".

received a call from a person Chris James, gives (800) 210-2892.  When you call it says it is for debt reduction, they have an auto response for removal of your phone number, but still getting calls.  Tried to call and speak to supervisor, they hang up.  Getting calls on my business phone for Wyoming Government.

I called the number back and it says Broadcom, then it says you have reached the debt repayment center, to have your number removed press 1, and when you do it disconnects you, if you call back and allow yourself to be transferred, the reps hang up on you, they will not transfer you, they will nto give you a supervisor, manager etc.

Same call same story made to a private unlisted number, no debt associated with this call

I just got a call a few minutes ago on my cell phone while I'm at work.  I listened to it after it went to voicemail b/c I screen my calls.  It's the exact same as the Chris St James one.  I pay my bills on time so I figured it was a scam to get credit card or bank info. The automated message gave that number but showed up as 818 870 8183.  I hope something is done about it.

I too received the same call from Chris with broadcom with the same exact message.  His number came up as a cell phone 818-870-8183.

I just got this message, word for word, on my private college dorm phone! What the hell is going on with this? I don't even have a credit card!

Same deal -- Chris St. James from Broadcom, and when you follow the prompt to get removed from the list they hang up on you, same when you ask a human.

They call over and over and over again.

SAME CALL:

"This is Chris St. James with Broadcom, at 800 210 2892. I'm calling regarding your credit card balances and the minimum payments that are going up. It is imperative that you call me back. I've received at least four calls from this number, at my job!!!  I've never responded but thought it was shady! The most recent call came on Sunday, 2/10/08. Each time, Chris St. James has left the exact message that rl has posted. He's urging to contact him to secure debt reduction allowance on credit card.

Got this call everyday this week. Sick of it. We don't owe money on credit cards and i can't get them to stop calling.
