    So tired of this
I have been getting these calls for weeks now.  I finally put my cell # on the do not call list, but these guys still keep calling!  I tried to take my name off their list, but they hung up on me!

They call my office everyday, I have called back numerous times to get our number removed from the list, no one would give me to a Supervisor and Chris St. James doesn't seem to exist.  I have been met with nothing but rudeness and they onlt hang up.  Now does sound like a company someone would want to give thier private financial info to?  To me seems like they have prisioners at a jail call center.

I receive this call enough that I decided to call back and play around a bit.  Four calls today resulted in this information.  Probably all lies but here it is anyway.  Chris St James is out of the office today.  Asking for a manager will get you hung up on.  If you ask for a supervisor they will ask for a first and last name.  They then try to match that name to your phone number.  Of course mine didn't match but I explained that I just got this phone number about a week ago and really need help with my overwhelming debt.  I was then transfered to Jason.  He actually spoke english like he was in the USA.  Awesome, finally out of the call center in India.  They claim to be in California but he wouldn't give me a mailing address to request more information about the program.  One of the early calls into the call center also claimed to be in California.  Jason states that it is a courtesy call, NOT a telemarketing call because they are not selling anything.  He claims to work for Broadcom Data and that it is a non-profit organization to help consumers eliminate debt.  I stated I was on the do not call list and he stated that they were exempt because of there non profit status.  Thats when he said thanks, have a good day, and hung up.  I tried a couple more calls, but even with my caller ID blocked they seemed to know who I was.

Details of the call was the same - phone number was told to call was 1-800-210-2892.

Got hung up on 15 times after asking for a supervisor. Called back once and spoke to someone to fish for some info - told them I was interested in losing some debt.

We have a name for the company now: Consumer Credit

I'm going to get in touch with the BBB and report Consumer Credit to them and direct them to this site as well.

Called several times, hung up on when requesting to speak with a supervisor or asking the name of the company. Finally called back and asked to speak with an agent. He identified his company as Sharva (best guess) Financial Services in Ft. Myers Florida. I have not been able to find a listing for this company.

I received the call at work, so I have no caller id for the actual originating number. I would love to contact the AG both in my state and in Florida, but I highly doubt he gave me accurate information about his company's location.

I have been recieving this same call and the exact same message every day twice a day for the past week. I have pressed one to talk to someone and three times have requested they remove me from their call list. Two of the three times they didnt even ASK for my phone number and all THREE times..and also two other times that I called THEY hung up on ME! And one time I called...the person who answered said that *I* need to stop calling *THEM*! WTF?! Each time they call the last four numbers of the phone number change so the calls are unable to be blocked. Does ANYONE know how to get these to stop?!

I received a call on my cell phone several months ago from Connor Jenkins. I didn't answer. He left a voice message and said that it was imperative that I call him back about my credit card debt. I have never had any type of credit card. He calls again and uses the alias Chris St. James. "Chris St. James" calls my cell phone number and leaves a voice message that it is imperative that I call him at 800-210-2892. The number that appeared on my cell phone screen was 702-520-1396. A scam. This fool had better quit calling me and everyone else or he'll have more trouble than he can handle in his lifetime.

Do not call 1-800-210-2892. These are a bunch of worthless, lazy scammer's. They care as much for all of you as a snake. They don't care about you or I. All they care about is money.

Collecting various reports spotted at this website, it seems that numerous posters here report receiving calls which contain phrases such as:

"Frank Thomas with City Point Express at 1-800-717-8057"

"Sam Abbott with Executive Direct Solutions at 1-800-693-7119"

"Chris St. James with Broadcom at 1-800-210-2892"

"Linden Hall with Channel Docs Information at 1-800-210-2731"

"Simon Phelps with Imperial Research at 800-210-3613"

The calls are almost identical (and in some cases it is obvious that one person is using numerous aliases), and all contain a phrase similar to "credit card balances and the minimum payments which [are/aren't] going up", with the words "[are/aren't]" always slurred.  Bizarre.

Two interesting suggestions I've seen at this website: (1) all these calls originate from a shady collection agency, possibly called Lib Management, Inc.  (2) this represents the latest "Nigerian scam".  Some of you might have seen recent news stories saying that up to one fourth of the population of China have received spams in the past few days via their cell phones.  Whatever the true explanation, one thing seems certain: a criminal gang is at work here.

Got the same call as all these people, "debt reduction allowance. Said his name was Chris Young. He said it was important I call today. Left this number 800-713-8797 and said he was from City Link. However, his caller ID was 562-289-8148. I won't call him back because I'm too smart to believe this bull. Also, I always check the internet before I follow up on this kind of stuff.
