Received a bill from MCI  800-226-0014. Calls were all from my land line to another number out of state total bill $73.82, Scam!

We are an insurance agency that received this scam letter. All calls are recorded and we have perfect records of all incoming and outgoing calls. We have zero records of this number.

Great news? We will NOT be sending $13.87 to whoever these jerks are. Better luck next time!

I called the 800 number on the notice and was told the calls were routed through them and not my normal carrier Verizon. I spoke with Verizon and they tell me they are not related to MCI at all and that it is a scam. I knew it but just had to hear it for myself.

SCAM BILLS.  MCI a Verizon Company  has been fraudulently billing since approx 2004.  These bills end up being for cell phone numbers that you may have had years ago.  I called the other number on my bill and guess what.  They are billing the other number as well.  So they are fraudulently DOUBLE BILLING both parties, hoping one of them will pay for a SCAM BILL.  DO NOT PAY THESE.  Contact the better business bureau.  Info reads as such:

Wow!  Thanks for this!  I answered a call from them a month or so ago - I had made an international call during the summer, so it seemed convincing that my phone company might not cover it!  I gave my address (although I was surprised that they would not have it if they had my phone number!) and a bill for 63.44 arrived shortly after.  I was shocked by the amount charged for a 15 minute call, but figured I should have thought about that before I made the call!  I was just about to pay the bill and looked for a web-site to pay it on and there was nothing on the bill.  A search for the phone number quoted led me here!  Thanks all!

Got a $4.99 bill from MCI in Jacksonville FL saying that my home number called a not long distance number. My home number is a hardwired, old style, Century Net land line with no connection to cell towers or the internet and no long distance service.

I called the number just to see... and it just said "you've reached billing inquiries. No one is available to take your call. Leave your name and a call back number..."

no company name, no identifying info at all. That way they can claim to be any company they want to.

Haha, i think i beat you... i just got a bill for $773.89 from MCI, all calls to numbers covered in my regular Frontier Communications plan. That was only one month's worth, lol! It is a little unsettling that they print the correct phone numbers of all the places and people i called... i guess they are privy to Frontier's information. Guess i'll have to let Frontier know. Otherwise i was vacillating between just throwing the paper bill in the fire or returning it with expletives scrawled across it!

I received two bills from them today. One for 31.91 and the other for $80.01. I called the numbers on the invoice and it was a recording. Scam!!!
