- JessicaCalling constantly
- Anonymous replies to XOR42They aren't legit. It is quite possible that your message is a plant in order to dupe people. Messages like yours are planted in these forums by the scam artists who create these automated calls. I owe money to no one and received the call. Beware of fraudulent planted messages as they are part of the scam.
- JSGot a call from them on my cell phone and the woman on the other end asked if she could speak to me, using my real name. I did not confirm it was me but asked who she was. She told me she was calling from Outsourced Receivables LLC and said she had an important message. She repeatedly refused to tell me what kind of company they were, so I told her if she could not answer my question, I would not answer hers (hers being that if I was indeed me). I then told her not to call my number again and hung up. From what I've been able to find online, they are some kind of debt collector. However I can't determine how legit they are. I would say be very cautious about dealing with them.

- ZooI received a message from them and was told to call back, I am pretty sure this is a scam because in the past debt collectors use mail addresses

- LindaCalled my pay-as-you-go cell phone and left a message asking for me by name, but not saying anything about what the call was about, other than that they were trying to collect a debt and I needed to call them back to get any information. I have no debts. I moved 100+ miles away 3 months ago from where I'd been living for only two years (and only moved there to help a very sick relative who has since passed away). And before I moved I called EVERY account, including medical, to make sure I wasn't leaving any unpaid bills behind. The caller did not say who they were, or what company was calling. I left a forwarding address; all anyone would have to do is send me something through the mail, and if I missed a legitimate bill I'd certainly take care of it!

- Shay replies to payzthebilz| 1 replyI have not read the posts you are referring to about the calls being disgusting. However, the ones I have read were about people who did not know that they owed money and thought the questions about personal information were shady. I can understand that, as you should be aware, while this may be a requirement to collect information for debt collection purposes to make sure you are discussing debt issues with the correct person, there have been several national news stories aired recently about scam artist using the same tactics to scam people. Usually threatening people about the fact that the owe money and if they don't pay now there will be grave consequences. I understand that, as a debt collector, you are just trying to do your job. However, due to the unsavory practices of scam artists, maybe it is time for your industry to re-evaluate and possibly update identification processes. There will be people that just don't want to pay their bills. I get that. However, there are some of us out there who just don't know that they still owe money for one thing or another..... They could have thought that insurance took care of everything or didn't realize that the presiding doctor billed them separately from the hospital. In my case, I was covered by insurance but the doctor's office submitted incorrect insurance codes to my insurance company so the claim was denied until 6 months later when I started getting collection notices and didn't know why. I had to track down the doctor to get them to look up the correct insurance codes and re-submit to my insurance (which took another 3 months). All the while, I was being called by a collection agency for money that I really didn't owe..... a clerical error! Don't be too harsh on everyone who is being called by a collection agency. We are not all debt-dodgers! I know you have to deal with some rude and obnoxious people, but don't take it out on the rest of us.

- GrandpaThis is a scam. I don't owe medical bills. I have medicare and a wrap around that pays 100% of all my medical care. Don't give these people any personal information. They will already have your name, address, and a working phone number , they want to get as much info about as they can. Easy for Identity theft.

- Buffalo JackMy wife received an automated message from this number for her ex husband. They have been divorced for over 5 years and we have been married for a year. The husband is saying that this is a scam company that used the Freedom of Information Act to obtain her phone number. I am smelling BS but wanted to see if anyone could confirm this.

- LisaI also, received a call from this number and when i called back they asked for my date of birth and address for verification. I explained to them Ii would not provided them with any information, that I had called the local hospital, doctors office and radiology doctors to verify I had no out standing accounts. The individual (Yancy) stated she could not give me any information unless i verified my date of birth and address. I reiterated the fact I would not be verifying anything with her. I then requested mail correspondence detailing why they were calling with names, dates of service, offices etc... Yancy stated she would be mailing it out today. We shall see!!
