Comes up in my caller ID as " Earl 7375 Sini Hospital"...um, yeah, ok...

My understanding about this number and others is that they have obtained information that was hacked from several insurance companies.  They have part of your information from that hack and they are trying to get the rest and also trying to get you to pay a bill that has 1 been paid, 2 was written off or 3 a real collection agency has already collected or has sold it to another agency....  They are a scam......  They can not send you details about the Amount they are collecting because they don't have enough information... DO NOT give them anything not even your address if they can't tell you what they have tell them to mail you proof of the debt but do not give them your address - if they don't have it they will try to get it from you... if they do have it tell them to MAIL the proof .... you will never get anything from them.

Or, they can simply be using an autodialer.

Got the call. No name mentioned, left blank. Hung up. Some sort of Medical Debt Collection based in Timonium Maryland.  Has outstanding legal actions against it for shady practices.  Number can be retrieved via a "automated" number generator with the hope someone will respond.  Number on caller id 1-800-234-1357

They called twice before 6:30 AM. I used “block this caller” on my iPhone.  So that should take care of this.  I hope one day there’s a way to block all incoming 800 numbers in one fell swoop.

It is ROI Companies, a health care asset recovery company. Calling to collect on a medical bill.

They left a message that they were a debt collector

Very good point about giving birthdate out when you do not know who you are dealing with can lead to identity theft!  All medical billing organizations I deal with clearly state who they are, who they represent and the medical service & date they are collecting for.  They also send hard copy via snail mail if there are any concerns!

..why this happy person is posting on the COMPLAINT website??  Why did the poster not mention their address???   Could it be a shill??  You decide!

Call every day but leave no message.

They collect on accounts that they don’t even own. I contacted the hospital who performed my surgery directly who told me my account was still handled by them. In addition, the payment due date hasn’t even passed
