Comcast calling to remind me about an installation appointment set up for the next day. It is an automated recording that only leaves a message if I pick up the phone.

I receive every two days a phone calling from this number asking for a certain Adam, probably somebody having my actual phone number before. I explain any time that is no more the number of this famous Adam and to erase it from their list, but nothing change. Who I have to contact to stop?

They call our business constantly, upon answering is dead air every time.  If it's Comcast - I called it back and it appears to be so - THEN GET YOUR [***] TOGETHER.

These idiots called me 4 times yesterday in Las Vegas while I was at a comedy show within one hour on my cell phone and then hang up.  Here is how to get them back.  They have promised to stop calling me and I asked them to stop and put notes in the file.  They keep having a dialer call me, I have a perfect account with them paid monthly.  They have a debtor who gave out my other number who they call me.  I have had this number for over 3 years.  Anyways I will have them credit my internet every time they call.  If they dont I will turn them in and they have to pay 1000 dollars for every time they call me.  They have no reason to call me at all.

    Best

The call is from Comcast automated survey robot to complete a survey regarding the service that had provided you online or on the phone.  You got to pick it up or the dang robot will keep calling until you pick up and answer a few automated questions rating service between 1-5.

This was an automated message from Comcast asking us to take a brief survey about our recent install/service experience. I know Comcast just came to my job, so it may be legit.

They called my new cell phone to tell me that I must send back equipment to avoid $500 in charges. I am not nor have I ever been a comcast customer. It's not even available where I live. Pretty sure they are looking for someone who used to have my new phone #. Not really collections I guess but that was the best category I could choose for it. :)

They call several times a day. I answered and they said they were calling from Comcast about a past due balance. She said she could take my payment by credit card. I told her I wasnt behind and she said they were a payment center and could not access account info, just take payments. I did not pay and called Comcast the next day. Comcast said I was not behind and didn't know why anyone would call. Must be a scam.

Well, if it's only Comcast calling their customers, why does my caller I.D. say, "Toll-Free Number" and that's all. I DO NOT ANSWER ANY CALLER who will not identify themselves. If Comcast wants to call me, they can sure as hell identify themselves. Personally I'm getting very tired of that company and their arrogance.

In my case, this number is from Comcast Cable Company, more specifically from a third party Comcast is using to make automated calls to their customers to remind them to upgrade their cable equipment to the digital kind because Comcast is switching all of their services strictly to digital capability. I already have the digital equipment I need and, therefore, should never have been on their list of customers to call. But call they did! Day and night, sometimes hourly! I have received over 200 calls from this number in the past 2+ months all for the same reason: Comcast's digital migration. It is a recorded message telling me to call Comcast to get the digital equipment. Well, I have called Comcast alright! About 20 times in the past 4 weeks, begging them to put a stop to these harassing phone calls and to please put a supervisor on the phone. Not once have they allowed me to speak to a supervisor, and not once has a supervisor returned my calls or voicemails I have left them. The Customer Service reps also told me they would put me on the Do Not Call list. I have told them repeatedly that I have been on the national Do Not Call list for years and that I keep my number updated on it on a regular basis. Comcast said they also have an internal Do Not Call list and it would take at least 30 days for them to put my number on it. They really do not care how they treat their customers nor do they care about their third party dialer harassing customers to the point that this customer is ready to drop Comcast and find cable service elsewhere and also to let the FCC know about all these harassing phone calls that just will not stop. I truly hate Comcast now, especially their idiotic, rude employees who have no scruples and will lie in a heartbeat or just hang up on you. Makes me want to scream! And why hasn't the FCC been contacted about this kind of behavior from a major corporation? The whole thing makes me sick. I am so tired of being harassed by my own cable company. And, yes, I'm losing sleep over this because they call at any hour of the day and night. Not cool at all!

2 missed calls from from the Comcast # and no message. Paid my last bill from them this week after canceling so I have nothing left to give them since all of my equipment is already turned in at the drop off center. Comcast seems to be known to have questionable practices in regards to their calls and billing

It looks like it's probably comcast since I've been on the phone 3 times this morning with them trying to get one of their new digital converter boxes working.  They said there would be a customer service survey coming, so maybe it's that.  Or, it's the follow up call that I should have gotten in 15 minutes but ended up being an hour and a half later.

I keep getting this call on my cell.  I have never done business with Comcast and can't get these to stop.  It costs me money every time they call.  I will never do business with them if they continue such tactics.

It is comcast. For all those saying its a scam. And if they're calling your cell phone then it possibly could be bc someone gave that number as their number if they dont have a home phone. But I'm curious how does it charge you everytime they call? You said you have a cell phone. You get so many minutes and if not then dont answer it. Simple as that. Save the number or remember it it spells out 1800comcast. Don't answer it when you see it come up. There's the solution to it costing you money.

I just talked to the guy for a few minutes. It's Comcast's collection department. For some inexplicable reason, my auto-payment didn't process and he claimed I owed $168 and asked me to arrange with him to pay it. Because I wasn't sure if it was legit, I just told him I'd pay on the website. He asked me when I would be able to do that, and I told him I'd do it in the next few hours. He didn't try to pressure me into doing it over the phone, so I'm inclined to think it isn't a scam, but who knows.

[Continued from previous post] This guy or somebody at Comcast is an idiot. Otherwise, this is a scam. I checked the Comcast website, and it still has me set up for automatic payments, so I'm not sure what the deal is. I'd probably not recommend giving these people personal information over the phone. Super weird.
