Please do not call any more.  I have not answered any of your calls when the phone rings, or even have returned your calls when you left me a message.  I do not want to further receive any more of you messages or interested of what you have to sell.

Just received a phone call from a 1-800-309-7000. She said her name was Debra and that on May 27th I was at a rib cook off and I was but she said I signed up for chance to win a free vacation to either Vegas  or Orlando. She said to call her back at a certain extension and she acted like she was super jealous that I had won. I am now not going to ever fill out a slip for a "free" car or "free" anything since they some how all ways get my phone number. Will not be calling her back lol.

This is the second time these people have called me. I guess it's my fault for entering to win some stupid car at a local rib cook off. But they need to stop calling me I do not want a trip to Orlando or Vegas!

In case after case of sales organizations that use the sweepstakes ruse as a means of skirting the Do-Not-Call regulations the FTC has taken remedial action. Yet Sundance Vacations aka SunScam Vacations continues to defy the DNC regulations!

What does that say about the ethics and integrity of the company?

    dank:

    You are 1000% WRONG!!!

In case after case of sales organizations that use the sweepstakes ruse as a means of skirting the Do-Not-Call regulations the FTC has taken remedial action. Moreover, attorney generals in PA., NJ., & NY have taken the same position as the FTC. The pivotal question was consumer intent. Did the consumer submit the sweepstakes with the hopes of winning something; or, did the consumer submit the sweepstakes as an authorization to call them IF they are on the DNC list! I think the answer is obvious!

You are WRONG dank; therefore, you are either uninformed or a Sundance Vacations shill!

If you entered the Sundance Vacations sweepstakes with the hopes of winning the grand prize but NOT with the express intent of inviting relentless telemarketing calls bordering on harassment, and you have been the recipient of uninvited or unwelcome telephone calls and are registered on the federal or state Do Not Call lists, you should call the FTC at its toll-free hotline at:  1-888-382-1222

Nice long message about great vacation things just for me because of the entry card I filled out at Dormey Park.
Crazy but I have never Been to Dorney Park.  So they are now just using the statement that I fillled out the card. A lie.

The last time I filled out an entry card was back in the 80s for a free gym membership as a teen. I didn't need the Internet to learn that lesson.

Thanks to everyone who gives these scams the time of day. You are keeping them going. The same people think the government gives you free stuff.  You will pay.

I DID go to Dorney Park and entered a sweepstakes to win a free car.  Is this a timeshare thing, because I have NO interest in those at all since I'm unemployed.  Plus, I would NEVER pay sales tax up-front.  I would tell the State of CT I will pay the taxes AFTER the trip; not BEFORE.

Thanks, though.  Horrible idiots who make you think it's just an innocent entry to win a car!

BTW, my son answered the house phone earlier this week and then felt guilty today because he had deleted the number and told them I wasn't interested.  I should hug him!  (They left the same message on my cellphone).

I received a message on Oct. 7, 2011 prompting me to call 1800-309-7000 ext 333 to receive my free cruise. To pick up the vouchers for the cruise, my husband and I were to attend a 1 hour sales pitch about time shares at the 9000 Keystone Crossing Blvd Suite 200, Carmel, Indiana, Smart Travel office.

Smart Travel picked up our information from and Indiana Fever game held in Indianapolis, August 2011.

Thank you for everyone's commentary regarding this scam. It seemed to good to be true.

I got a call from this number yesterday (12-14-11) and was told that I won a "free cruise" to the Bahamas. I was also told that it was "absolutely free and that I wasn't obligated for any reason to buy anything". They told me that the would call today to give me the directions to their office and that I needed to take 2 forms of ID with me. They also inquired to if I made over $35,000/year and if I was over 21 years of age. It all sounded REAL until I called one of my girlfriends and told her about it. That's when she told me that it had happened to her as well and that it is a SCAM. She told me that the trick is that the company lures you into the office and then tells you that when you buy time shared properties then you get the free cruise. BEWARE. It is a scam operation and supposedly the company changes their name, phone number, and prizes that it is difficult to track them down. Be wary.
