- Ginger JoThis is the number to Healthcare.gov but when I answered it was a rep named Monica who sounded like poor white trash and tried to get my personal info and sell me shady health insurance. Told her to stop her criminal ways or she'll end up in prison soon.
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- BethCalled but left no message. I find it difficult to believe that if these people were really a part of healthcare.gov that they would not leave a message regarding the call. I will block the number.
- Alyssa| 2 repliesReceived a bill in mail from Ambetter Healthnet that insurance had not been paid and coverage had ended. Bottom of letter stated "If you have made a payment and you think this information is incorrect call us today at 1-800-318-2596." Called the number. I knew something was def wrong with this letter. Immediately was asked first and last name, date of birth and address. I asked the person dont you need my subscriber number, she paused and continued asking personal information. I immediatley hung up. BAD NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Do not call the number as the letter from Ambetter Health Net is fake and so is the number. They will always ask for your subscriber number 1st then verify your information.

- B-Edwards replies to AlyssaThe number you see on your caller ID is spoofed. That is the phone number to Healthcare.gov and the Health Insurance Marketplace. Criminals are trying to trick you into thinking you are getting a call from a bonafied source.
Ambetter sounds like they are running a phishing scam and are out to steal your identity. It is good you were suspicious. - post pending moderator approval

- Scam FerretI see from previous feedback that this call was possibly from the Health Insurance Marketplace. When a call comes in that only shows the number and "Toll Free Call" on the caller ID my assumption is that the call is likely a scam. Think I was right with making that assumption on this call. If this was a legitimate call I wonder how many calls from the Market Place aren't being answered because of the lack of identifying caller ID information. Anyway, I automatically answer calls like that with the 3 tone line disconnected message and then disconnect the call immediately. Doing that has been working great on reducing the scam calls. I'm thinking the scammers likely use a very few computers to make many calls and spoofing a variety of numbers to bypass call blockers. If one of their computer dialers calls and gets the tones, I wonder how many calls from different spoofed numbers on that one dialer are stopped. I may be wrong in my analysis but it's working, for now anyway.

- CeeBeeI have received several calls from this #, but I won't answer. Caller ID says Health Insurance, but I can't imagine why healthcare.gov needs to contact me by phone. I suspect it's a scam.
- Caller: Health Insurance (caller ID)
- Laura CThis number continuously calls in a daily basis to renew my insurance at Market Place, hoping that you give out your Social, home address and other important infomation. My number is on the DNC list, but this number keeps calling.
- Caller: Market place Insurance
- Sheila HiltonThey called and said i wanted my mail from them sent to my post office. I called them back and they have no record of me calling. - Trish replies to ChristieYes, I think I had one yesterday. Caller ID was BLUE COSS BLUE (notice Cross is spelled wrong) however when I dialed the number, I got US healthgov, com. Which I have been accessing lately for personal reasons. Should not have had the other ID. Her msg was, she would call back, so here I sit waiting for a scam call, which I will call her out on.
