(212) 587-5938 - UseCare| 1 replyWe have never even HEARD of San Ramon Hospital, so I have serious doubts regarding that tidbit. However, when this number called us, the person did try to coax personal information like SSN from a family member. Use care when you answer unfamiliar callers!
- RSC| 3 repliesThe number belongs to Tenet California Insurance Company, billing and collections dept. which handles hospital bill balances if you have had visited an emergency room. My son went to an emergency room back in March of this year and paid the ER visit deductible but apparently the HMO does have one more trick that they would only pay 80% of the negotiated rate and the balance falls under your responsibility. These guys are just trying to collect those balances so contact your healthcare provider first and then confirm the balance and call the hospital back if you are more comfortable than speaking with Tenet California. You better take care of those bills otherwise it will certainly go to the collections.

- Robert| 3 repliesGood Samaritan Hospital business office. Good Sam's in West Palm Beach FLorida. Can more than one business have the same 800 number? That's so weird, I thought it might be a pretzel co. too. LOL
- Caller: Good Samaritan Hospital
- Cin| 2 repliesI have received two calls from this number. The first one left a message on my voice mail/no words just music. The second one no message. I googled it and game up with the same pretzel company number. Weird, if that is how the hospital billers are trying to cover their tracks.
- Deb replies to CinIt is the Support Center for any Tenet owned Hospital, they are calling because they can't get your insurance billed or there is a problem with the billing procedure. You should call because it will get transfered to their in house collections depatment... Remember Hospitals are NOT obligated to bill your insurance it is a courtesy, I found out the hard way!!! CALL THEM if you don't want a big headache in the future!!!!
- Deb replies to RSC| 2 repliesTenet is NOT an Insurance Company... they own the Hospital you went to. Make sure your insurance is contracted with them or you are liable for what they don't pay... Remember the Insurance companies find any way they can to get out of paying your bill!!!!!
- MikeYeah, I just got the message too. It sounds like it has to be Tenet because I went to a Tenet hospital and know for a fact I didn't pay and they continue to call. It would have been sweet if it was the Pretzel people though and you scored mad free pretzels.
- luvbug00I used to work for Tenet, at their California location. Tenet Healthcare Systems owns hospitals nation wide. If you were treated at one of there hospitals, and your claim isn't paid within a certain period the hospital forward the account the their central hub. Soft collections are performed, if you have insurance you should contact them to see if the claim is on file. If the claim is not on fule it is imperative you contact Tenet to give them your insurance information, again! It is only a courtesy for them to bill your insurance if they don't have a contract with the insurance carrier, otherwise if they decline to bill it is a breech in there contract and should be reported accordingly. If you gave your insurance information at the time of service and find it was never billed you do have some recourse. Contracted hospital must submit claims within a "timely filing" period, if they do not, they don't get paid (the must write-off the balance). Using this as a tool only works if you gave your insurance information at time of service. Otherwise you will be responsible for the entire chareges. I hope this helps.
- JuneYep. Tenet. Los Alamitos for me. The thing that really makes me mad is that I had a CAT scan. The charge was $1500. My insurance paid all but $28. I thought, sweet! Then I get this bill from Tenet for another $1500!!! WTF??? So I call and they tell me its, get this... A FACILITY CHARGE!!! So I haggle with them, and tell them to bill my insurance. They do, but there's still $200 owed. Jesse James and Billy the Kid had horses and guns... this place only has a building! But I call $1500 for 10 minutes total, waiting room and scan, is highway robbery!!!
