- sdc7Called the 800 number given after reading the comments. Interesting course of events. Like others, I am not giving personal information about myself until I know who I am speaking with. I was transferred to Central Financial Control in which I received a somewhat rude individual who wouldn't tell me who they were or what they were about, but wanted me to provide my information. When I refused she abrubtly told me she couldn't help me (with what I have no idea) and told me to have a nice day and hung up the phone. Like I said it was interesting.
I also called the 714.935.9907 number and received the same recording stating that it was a disconnected number.- Caller: Central Financial Control
- TerenceIts Central Finacial Control. The goon squad collection agency for Tenet Health. For me, its Warminster Hospital.. They leave a message to call back to, but its always a dead end.. You should get bills in the mail too.

- Pissed in ILThese people call at whatever time they want, when you pick up it shrieks a beep loudly in your ear and plays music. Then, just before an op picks up, it says in a recording "This call may be monitored or recorded..." I never heard anything about it NOT being a medical billing call, they actually finally admitted that it was, and they were looking for someone with the wrong last name. They asked if they could speak with the person, and I told them they needed to tell me why they were looking for the person, and they needed to ask for them by the appropriate name if I was going to put them on the phone - I want to determine whether it's important enough to wake them up! When they didn't tell me correctly who they were looking for, I asked them if they were going to send someone out to walk my now very agitated dog (she gets annoyed when the phone rings and she's asleep) so I can take care of my formerly asleep now screaming child that they woke up. They apologize weakly for agrivating my dog and waking my child, and suggested they could remove my number if I'd like. I told them to do so, but we'll see how that works...
I'm glad www.donotcall.gov works for telemarketers (most of the time) I just wish it worked for these people!!!
Oh, and yeah, it was for a medical billing issue... but when a person is the victim of a violent crime of the "SVU" variety, if you don't have insurance available to you, the LAW in California says that the VICTIM is NOT RESPONSIBLE for payment... and how they got MY number, years later, different last name, different state, etc. kinda blows my mind... what are they doing, employing the psychics and the occult seers now?
Well, I guess that's what Bankruptcy is for...- Call type: Debt collector

- PlentybillsI received this call. Tenet corporation owns hospitals across the country. They are calling for my husband's hospital bill's remaining balance, because they have not yet filed an insurance claim with Medicare. It is true that your insurance company will pay according to your policy provisions. Normally, you are going to have some kind of copayment and coinsurance (such as a percentage up to a set amount - say 20% to $5k, maximum out of pocket $1k). It is totally normal to have a deductible, copayment, and/or coinsurance amount that you pay on the front end of a bill. Read your policy or employer's benefit booklet. It's all there.
