- disgusted| 2 repliesI wrote earlier about being sick and how I could not make my payments and how they turned me into a collection agency. I found out I am terminal and have about 2 months to live. They called and wanted to work out a settlement and I told them I was dying and how long I have and they told me to make sure I had paid them in full before I passed. What a bunch of unfeeling [***]. Hope you all sue them.

- Tabby replies to disgustedYou need to tell your story to http://householdwatch.com/
There are literally HUNDREDS of horror stories from people just like you who have been kicked to the curb by these ruthless [***]. I was one of them, and I hope I live long enough to see them put out of business. - TabbyPS--God bless you.
- Not real smart replies to Beth in MichiganYou assume too much -- I have a new cell phone, maybe the prior owner of this number had credit issues (maybe why he/she gave up the phone) but for me as a young man to get harassing calls 11 times in 12 hours (8:24a to 8:37p today) is just wrong. They're using up my minutes on my iPhone quickly -- I have to stop answering, but it's frustrating when it goes off in class -- I have a sick parent and I need to know when she needs medical attention so I can't turn this off -- looks like I have to get a new number due to them :( I will NEVER open an HSBC account (again, I'm 18, that's a lot of potential lost business)
- JanieThey won't tell you who they are until you verify that you're the person they're trying to reach. That makes me so infuriated and angry, that I just hang up. If someone calls your house, they owe it to you to tell you FIRST who THEY are, not demand to know who you are, then perhaps tell you the purpose of their call, and who they're with. That is soooooooooo rude and infuriating. In fact, they don't even tell you the reason for their call. I didn't know who it was until I google'd the phone number.
sigghhh......- Caller: HSBC
- RH2Caller constantly calls all times of day and night. Asks for Ella Yazzie. After being told Ella doesn't have this phone number and hasn't for over 5 years, giggles like a little girl-but is a male voice---and continues to call back.
- pissed off momI kept getting 10-20 calls a day from these idiots even after I paid my account, and my 16 year old son put the phone up to his speaker and blasted some of the most obscene Eminem lyrics I have ever heard. They stopped calling. Give it a try.

“I have been very sick for a long time and have been in and out of hospitals more times than I can count. When I finally did get to go back to work, I only worked for a few months and was laid off. I could not make the monthly payments and sent what I could afford. This was never enough. They called day and night, and always claimed that they wanted to work with me, but to do so, I had to pay a certain amount that was more than I could afford. I tried to explain about my illness, and the fact that I had lost my job, and that was not good enough for the greedy vultures. They turned me into a collection agency and then, they started harrassing me day and night until I sent them a cease and desist letter. Then HSBC called and said they wanted to work out a payment settlement, and I told them that I am terminal and have about 2 months left to live and they told me to pay off what I owe before I pass.”
Just....reprehensible. - aviscalls constantly but there is no response if you answer
- dcthey keep calling me. Today I got 3 calls from this number, even though I have explained to the reps calling numerous times over the past few months that they are looking for my brother, this is my cell, not his and stop calling. Needless to say it has still continued hence the 3 calls today in a 6 hour period.

- EHRYNDid anyone know that after the end of the year collection companies file a loss to the government on accounts not paid and they get compensated. Collection companies continue to try to collect after their compensation, which is against the LAW!! Or they sell that account to another collection company and start the procees all over again. Google it or call any lawyer that knows about collections.
