I continue to get calls from this number as well. I would have to assume it is the very same company that I experienced back in August and reported. Why isn't anything done with these people? They are relentless and I do not have any business with them. They are harassing! I registered my cell number with national Do Not Call Registry, yet I continue to get these calls and it has been more than 30 days!!

I get at least 6 calls a day from them. from about 8:30am - 8:00pm cst. They never leave messages.  Maybe if they would leave me a message I would consider calling them back.  They can keep calling all they want when they keep calling me that many times a day everyday, sometimes only an hour apart, I beyond the point of even considering answering the phone. Actually maybe I will pick up the phone then hang right up.

This number calls my CELL phone numerous times a day!  My credit card account with them is current, as it always has been with this company.

When I receive their calls, I answer them, but there is not a live person on the other end, but a recording that tells me, "There is no operator available to talk to you at this time.  They are all busy.  "Please hold the line for the next available operator"!

I resent this company wasting my time and using my cell phone minutes for no reason!!!

They are calling me too, relentlessly.  I told them the person they are calling for is NOT at this number and they promised to remove me from their call list.  So far, they haven't called back.

If you call a toll free number from a pay phone it cost them about $0.30 for each call.  If everybody would call the toll free number from a pay phone several times a day their cost of business would increase - perhaps enough that they would go out of business  When calling the toll free number you just have to make sure the call connects.  You don't have to have a conversation.  Once the call connects, even if it’s just for a second, they get charged the $0.30

I called the number back and told the rep that they were calling my work cell repeatedly in error.  Gave them my number and they said it was showing up on an account (not me) as someone's home number.  The rep removed the number from the account and noted that the home number listed was incorrect.  Haven't had a call since.

    Frustrated
This place calls all hours of the day everyday.  I have no account with Household Bank. I answer and they hang up or are on the line and don't say anything.  This morning at 8am I spoke to a live person....asked him if he owns a watch and reminded him it is Saturday morning at 8am.  I attempted to ask for a supervisor to report all of the hang up calls and the man would not let me talk to one.  Would not tell me his name, would not tell me who he was even calling for and then hang up on me!!!!!  I think that contacting the police will have to be my next move.  This is ridiculous.

These and many other illegal antics of HSBC are well-documented on:

    http://householdwatch.com/news/page/3/

HSBC calls 15 times in 48 hours

CF in Iowa said: “HSBC has made repeated phone calls, from exactly 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. seven days a week to collect a debt that we have already made payment arrangements on. My caller ID shows that they have called me 15 times in the past 48 hours! This harassment WILL STOP. I am sending them a written notification per section 805 of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act that they are no longer able to contact us except once per month at a time and day of the week I designate. I suggest everyone who has a problem with them also write and contact your state attorney general and the FTC.”

I also am getting 4 - 6 calls per day.  I get really tired of this seeing as though I pay my bills on time and don't know what these folks are doing except hoping to get someone who is afraid of them - which I am not.  I don't even acknowledge their call and never will.

Low and behold I just received the call after reading all these msgs about this issue and talked to a live person.  She asked for a person who isn't me and I informed her that it was a wrong number as well and that they have been extremely annoying with their persistent automated phone calls.  I asked her to identify the company and it is indeed HSBC.  At that point I told her that this irritating situation is not good for their business and they have a lot of complaints on the internet that they aren't aware of.  She apologized heavily and said she would report this directly to her superiors and remove my number from their automatic call list.  Let's see if this works!  Fingers crossed.

    Disgusted
I have been very ill for the last year and have been in and out of the hospital more times than I can count. I could not make my payments and tried to pay what I could. It was never enough. someone from this number would call and say that they really wanted to work with me, but I had to pay a certain amount that I could not afford. When I explained about my illness and that I could not pay what they wanted, the f-ing greedy vultures turned me into a collection agency-Redline Recovery Services, also a bunch of greedy a holes. but that's a whole different story. anyway, I don't know how these people can sleep at night. Every dog has his day, and I can't wait til they have theirs.

    Harrassed On the Job
I am so sick and tired of these people interrupting me on my job to call to ask for a co-worker of mine! I have nothing to do with HSBC, but I'm the poor sap that has to answer the phone. It should be illegal for them to call someone repeatedly at work - calling a receptionist - NOT the person with whom they need to speak!!!! I would NEVER create an account with these inconsiderate ***** (I won't use profanity on a website). These people need to call their debtees AT THEIR HOME - not at work!!!!!! It's a violation of privacy for the receptionist to know that her co-worker is in debt! The caller doesn't have to give me details. They call sooooo much, I can figure it out very easily!

I have been getting these calls for about 2 weeks, and they continue, I finally broke down and called the number and it was a recording staying that it reconized my number and that my last 4 digits on my account was like 1714 or something like that. I do not have an account with them and do not owe any credit cards.
most of the time the calls are marked unknown or withheld. so I am sure it is the same people.

WRONG to the person that says this. I do not "owe them money and I am not delinquesnt on my account" I have one card and I pay it on line the same time every month EARLY...They still call they are a rinky dink company and you are obviously an employee or a family memeber is so I dont blame you for trying to stick up for them.  But if you read through it would be stupid to say EVERYONE complaining is a late payer!

This is all a scam. Do not give them any information. They keep calling my company owned cell phone which is not in my name or in my area code. They are just phishing for information to steal your ID.
