- F*ck HSBCUntil today, I had no idea this is one of their alternate numbers, I had been receiving constant calls from one of their other numbers, from 8AM CST until 9PM CST, and for those of you saying they call you constantly, that's nothing, I receive calls from them at least 3-4 times from them every hour between the aforementioned time frame, between the now 3 numbers they are using, it's quite a bit. Let me give you a little backstory. I owe them money, I paid my account faithfully, up until I ran into some financial trouble, made some arrangements with them, they held my payment past the day they were supposed to post it, so they could incur more of their bogus charges, which then didn't clear my bank, because the money was gone. Anyways I am working with a debt management company to set up and consolidate my debt into one managable monthly payment. I told them this, they said they will keep calling until it's paid. I've looked up the laws regarding fair debt collection and whatnot, what they are doing is criminal, regardless if you owe them money or not. Report them to the DNC.gov people, and the FTC, your state AG, and anyone else you can think of, as someone who has worked in this industry before, I know the rules. They are blatantly breaking them. For those of you who don't know the backstory on this company, HSBC, was formerly Household Bank, one of the most deceptive lenders. Look them up, and you will read some real horror stories. Also they are one of the biggest causes of today's current housing trouble, with Adjustable Mortgage rates, sub-prime loans, etc. I wish the government would just step in and shut them down. Anyways, recently I received two phone calls in the matter of about 5 minutes from one of the numbers, which now only calls 5 times a day now instead of 15-20, fed up with this, I asked all the information from the person on the other end, telling them that by law they have to give it to me since I asked. I took this information and filed a complaint with the FTC. Since then this number has called constantly everyday, it's like they use all these different numbers to get around the law. The best way to battle them is to know your laws, and use them to your advantage. Whatever you do, regardless if you owe them money or not, NEVER give them your SS#, in fact it's quite odd they are asking for the whole thing and not just the last 4 like all other companies do.

- F*ck HSBCBy the way I recently received a few calls from them past 5PM CST on the last two Sundays. By law, solicitors, whether collectors, or telemarketers are not supposed to call on Holidays, or past 9PM weekdays, or 5PM weekends in your time zone. Doing so is a violation, and should be reported to the proper authorities.

- zoeyI get phone calls 6 or 7 times a day from 1-800-395-2274. These people call early in the morning and in the evenings. They don't stop, even when all they get for an answer is a machine. They never leave a message. One time, I answered and got a lady with a foreign accent requesting information from my Visa card because they wanted to "upgrade" my account with a "protection plan" which was later charged to my card. This Visa card is garbage, I have tried to use it only once, but was declined, although I haven't made any purchases with it. Every time I call the number on the back of the card, I get a message that I'm late on my payments, even when the only charge made to the card is the "protection plan". Sometimes they leave a message for some stranger, whose name is not familiar at all.
This is harassment, and it would really help if this number could be blocked. I know that this number belongs to HSBC, so don't accept any credit card offers from these people.- Caller: HSBC

- bluerose1971 replies to PThis is a call from a credit card collections departmenT. As soon as you are late with a payment on a card, they start calling. There's several numbers associated with them. This has happened to me before when I was a bit late with a payment, and that's what I found out. So if you are up to date on your payments, it may be worth your while to hear them out to see why they are calling so you can get whatever is wrong fixed so it doesn't affect your credit rating. With all the identity theft going today, you have to be careful. You may not have opened an account with them, but someone else may have.
- lisaholy crap these people are sooooo annoying!!!!

- CMy police officer aquaintence said this is a legit company, but I don't know how that is possible if I have NEVER had an account with them nor will I ever have one now ever because of this continued harassment. They call and ask for "John Doe" one day I tell them NO this person is NOT here. They call AGAIN ask for the same person and I tell them do not fing call this number again. If it wasn' the right number yesterday why would it be the right number today?! They are scandelous [***]. Someone needs to take their shoe plant firmly between the CEO's buttcheeks then kick his teeth right down his throat

- T replies to file a complaint at www.donotcall.govwhat if they keep calling you from different numbers? i have been getting the calls for well over a month, but this number is new for the second day in a row. do they switch up on you for this reason?
- ylandaMY GOODNESS! I am on maternity bedrest and they call every hour from this number and 800-801-2498. I have two HSBC accounts. One I have already made arrangements on and paying so I don't know why they are calling me if it's being paid. The other due to my medical/financial situation has been sent to collections but I have been setting up monthly payments with the collection company they sent it to. Once again, no reason for the phone calls since arrangements are made and payments paid. This is downright harrasment and with my condition I have no desire to continue to deal with it.
- Jamie| 1 replyThese people continue to call my cell phone number non-stop. Atleast 10 times a day, everyday. It's total harassment. They don't even leave a message.
