We keep getting calls nightly 4 ,5 or 6 times. Now we just shut off the ringer. I answered the call tonight( 12-3-2007 7:20pm ) and spoke to Russell a man with a heavy African acent and blasted him. I told me to remove my name and number from his list and hung up .. Yes! i did receive two more calls with 20 minutes

They call my home and I guess they got my cell number somehow and is now calling my cell.  I have a chase account and never picked up and they never leave a message.  My family picked up and asked the caller to leave a message and they wouldn't.  Is this number a scam?  What if its not???

Ah, we keep getting these calls too! At first I just let it go to vm, and as  you would expexct, they never leave a message. Our answering maching somehow recorded a kids tv show as the greeting...so I left it alone and let the answering machine get it....thinking the call would eventually stop...but na...then finally decided to google the number and found you all with the same problem. We do have an account with Chase, but like most who do now we will not as soon as it's paid off!!! Keep the ideas coming there must be some way we can get them back? ARG!!!

I have a Chase account but there would be no reason for them to call me. I make my payments on time. Luckly they only have my cell phone number but it drives me nuts how they call so much but don't leave a message. They just started calling on Tuesday and I've already gotten 16 calls from them ( and it's only not even mid-day Thursday). They always call me while at work too so I don't even have my phone. I've noticed that each day, I get more and more phone calls. For instance, while I was working this morning, I got 5 phones calls whinin an hour. It's really starting to bother me.

I've received a call from this number every 6 minutes for the last hour.  When we answer, there doesn't seem to be anyone on the other end and when we don't answer no one leaves a message.  I Googled the number and came upon this site.  I do have a Chase account and just checked it, but my account is up to date, so I have no idea why they're calling me.  When I pay my next bill, it will be the last bill I pay to Chase.  I'm closing this card.  This is ridiculous.

I received three calls in a 45 minute span from this number and each time I answer it, they hang up. I know it is Chase, and I do have an account there, but I do not appreciate them hanging up on me when I answer the phone. What do they tell their boss, I didn't respond so they can say they've tried to contact me and they couldn't reach me?

I have gotten rid of my cell phone and my home phone and upgraded to these two cups connected by a string. Amazing Clarity!!!! and I can actually see who is on the other end.

I made the mistake of answering the first time. And that opened the door. And I am not sure if it can be closed. How funny, The [***] are calling right now. And what is with these calls on my cell phone. Obviously AT&T/ Cingular/ att has sold me out. But I never saw anything credited on my account that I so lovingly pay a mint for... Here you go sir, we have sold your phone number to the tele's and here is your cut. And by the way we will charge you if you go over on minutes. Much love and respect, and thank you for bieng a valued customer.

I am sick of the do not call list not working anymore. I get a ton of calls from Bermuda and India and Malasia. I say we invade these places and force them to conform to our donotcall.gov ways. Operation DONOTCALL.GOV has commenced. I wonder if I can hire a local in these places to cut the phone lines. Then we all will get a days rest and relaxation.

8:30 am was the first call, then 8:45, 8:55, and now 9:00am. I am beginning to see a pattern. Ahh the convenience of technology. The ability to harrass, and the beauty to do it from another country and be exempt from all our laws.

    innocent bystander
I believe that this number is a collection agency for Chase. I have a roommate who is getting ready to declare bankruptcy and has not been paying his credit card bills for a few months. Since he is living in my house, the bills come to my address. I started receiving calls from this number today, 3 calls starting at 8:30am (woke me up, because I work a later shift). My phone number is unlisted and on the do not call list, but obviously they looked it up as associated with the address for the person owing money. The 3 calls went to voicemail, there was a recording that said "please hold for an important call" then an Indian came on the phone and asked for my roommate. When they called again tonight at 8:30pm, I answered, got the same recording to wait for an important call, and an Indian came on and asked for my roommate. I said this is a private number, it does not belong to him, please do not call it anymore. He asked if I could give him my roommate's cell phone, I said no and hung up. Will see if they continue to call.

    five-timer...
I just received my 5th call in 10 min.  5 CALLS!  5th one someone finally asked for someone who must have had my number prior to me... I asked politely (as nice as I could muster) to remove this number from her account, as she no longer has it.

We will see if this works.

NOTE: I have never had a Chase account, I have heard too many horror stories about them.

I too get 5-10 phone calls from this number, They have auto dialers and if they detect that someone answers it routes the call to a live person, the auto dialer will continue to dial your number until they connect with a real person. Chase, B of A, Cap 1, citi and even mortgage companies all use auto dialers. I had one 10$ late payment on a Kohls card, they reported me to the Fico and ALL of my cards jacked my interest rate to 29-32% and I had NEVER been late to any of them, Kohls treated me like a criminal even though I explained I was away due to my fathers death.
Pay our bills off and pay over pay 1$, and do not use the card again if you want to get at them, they will send you a statement for over a year with a credit. canceling the card only hurts your credit.

If you want to avoid them all together go onto each cards site and remove your cell and work numbers, leave only your home ph and do like I do , unplugg the phone at 8am and plug it back after 9 pm any one who needs me has my cell. Federal laws says they can not call before 8 am and after 9pm, or you can report them. Most CCard companies are so reliant on the web sites YOU can control by removing your phone numbers they have no paper trail to get your other numbers and are forbidden by federal law to call your work if you tell them no personal calls at work. If they have a recent paper app with your phone numbers on it they can sometimes get that, but do it before you get in past due state, some will print files on you if you become cronic late and changing the web site will slow them down but not stop it. Credit card companies are like the new drug dealers, but we can fight them, but they can make your life difficult, learn to not buy anything unless you need it...all about wants vs needs.

Same thins as everyone else. They started calling around 8:10 this morning and have continued in 1/2 intervals and when I did pickup nothing. I called back and also got a computer recording saing "please put in your account number" It is 9:35 and they have called 4x already. I contacted ATT and they said they know of the problem and said there is nothing they can really do. I told them with 4 lines of service and $300/month they better find something or we will go somewhere else. I contacted the local Police Dept and they also are aware of the problem. NOT MUCH ANYONE CAN DO!! Next contact your local Governer or Rep, I dont know!!
