value plus saying they have my debit card number ending with xxxx and my name and address and want me to join for $1 for 1st month then 19.95 each month, but i can call and cancel anytime in my trial period

I didnt get a phone call, they just started taking money out from my account. Taking 14.95 at least twice a month...

They called and wouldn't let me off the line. Somehow they had almost all of my debit numbers and kept promising that everything was free. Nothing would be taken out of my account. Yeah right. 39.90 per month for stupid magazines and its for 26 months. They promised a 25.00 gift card from Wal-Mart and tons of coupons. Oh yeah, and a diamond watch just for signing up. They gave me a web-site that doesn't exist and a phone number(18004751942) that led me to believe this was a scam. Never give any info to anyone. I'm cancelling my card tomorrow just in case.

I got this call on my cell phone about some magazine deal and as young and stupid as I am I gave them some information.  Next thing I know I have charges and I don't know what to do.  So I find their number and call to cancel my membership and they re credited the money to my account and say everything is fixed.  Just in case I even changed my card number so this would not happen again.  Now I have this $14.95 coming out of my account twice a month from the same people!  How did they get my new card number?  I am going to my bank and see if There is anything i can do.

I got a call from a 727 number telling me that I could get $40 in gas rebate if I signed up for these member rewards.  The first few times I hung up but they kept calling at least twice a day so finally I talked to them.  They asked me to verify my birthday by typing it in on my keypad and that gave them the "electronic verification" to charge my card.  I called and cancelled my "membership" and was told they wouldn't charge me or call me anymore.  I guess we'll see!

I recieved a call from this same company that Janelle said they proceeded to ask me for my last name or phone number to look up my account, they failed locating it and proceeded to ask me for my credit card information, me being paranoid with the frequent Internet and phone scams told them i would not give any personal information out over the phone. I then called my bank and blocked my debit card and am having a new one shipped to me. I advise anyone not to mess around with these games that people play and do something before any harm is done to your account. when i typed the phone number i was called from in google i found alot of useful information on this company, the following link for thoes whom do not want to put a block on yourbank account (though i reccomend it , just incase any other third party companys have obtained your infomation also).

I too had no phone call from this number and automatically had 16.95 taken out of my account. I don't ever give my numbers away and somehow. Here I am.

I never received a phone call!  I have never heard of this company.  I check my bank account weekly and noticed a pending charge from a company I did not recognize.  I called my bank immediately and they took measures to close that card.  My bank supplied me with the 800 number, and from there I learned the website name.  My bank will look into the matter and press charges if needed.  Meanwhile they are refunding my money to my account.  I would like to find out how this company gets personal information!!!

I didn't get a call. Discovered a $16.95 charge to my account. The phone nuber shows there. I am fighting to get my $16.95 back. It's the principal here. How do they get this information and how can they charge without authorization.

I had these people take money from me as well same amount for 16.95 charged me twice in march and apparently have been charging me since december. Im calling the bank tomorrow to make sure they don't keep doing it. Did you ever get refunded?

Noticed a 16.95 charge on my credit card bill from Value Plus.Called 1-800-475-1942 and asked what the charge was for as I had not purchased anything from them.Did not receive a satisfactory response as thier computer was down.Have cancelled my credit card as I expect this will be a recurring charge.Have no idea how they obtained my credit card number.

This is the second month that I am being charged and I don't even know what services that I am supposed to be getting. Girlfriend balances my check book and didn't catch it until this past statement. I never received a call but i saw a charge for 16.95 in my statement. I call the number and end up finding a membership under my girlfriend's name. Have no idea how they could have gotten my information with her name.

Never received a phone call from this company. Just noticed on bank statement a charge for 16.95. I am calling my bank to report a fraud case on my account. They will be watching for any suspicious charges on my account. If I have to I will close the account.

it is probably your financial institution giving out your personal info look that company and affiliated compainies. I did and found my personal bank on the home page as the company value plus and its 18004231942.

I don't remember singing in to this company.When I look at my Bank Statement, I noticed this company was charging me $16.95 every month. I never spoke or go on the internet for this company, but they took some money out of my account. I hope this people will get caught and go to jail.

Received a call on the answering machine last night from 1-800-475-1942 googled it and ended up here. I found 1 debit purchase charge of 19.95 from WC* Value Plus V from what I read here and looking through my statement it appears to have originated with a purchase of HD Wraparounds sun glasses. I am going to call and make sure any account is canceled and then have the charge stopped at the bank.

Oh yea and the sun glasses didn't work either.
