This is one of many numbers used by ERC, a debt collection outfit

Gave my number fifteen years ago to a friend as a reference for a loan.  Haven't had contact with him for over ten. He has never lived at this number and the caller has repeatedly been told this.  Calls keep coming several times a week. wtf.. Is there no way to block this idiot?

For over a year I have received phone calls trying to collect from a Daniele Casterson.  I receive 3 - 4 per week.  I have contacted the collection agency and they say my number is on a Do Not Call list, but they keep calling.  I've had this number as my business line for over 3 years, and there has never been a Daniele Casterson here.  I have no idea who that person is, but the recordings just keep calling.  How do we get someone to take action?

Called my home phone which I had just changed, a robot took the call and said they were a collection agency, to press button( ) if you wanted to talk to a human, I told the person I was NOT the deadbeat they were looking for, they said thanks and they'll probably call again.

Call was debt collection, It was for my dad who has been in a nursing home for 3 years. He has no bills and no debts. Told them to send me a bill and I would take care of it. Asked who I was told them his POA, they wanted me to send proof. Told them I was not going to send them crap. If he owes money which I know he does not then send me a bill. They hung up on me.

Stop these calls. I think it's some sort of scam

enhanced recovery service, apparently trying to collect on an old debt since the recorded message said "this message is for ___  ___" and they used my last name from previous marriage....more than 5 yrs ago

I've told them several times they have the wrong number, Now I just forward all my calls through google voice, then block jerks like this. I don't feel I should have to deal with these [***] this way but it does give me great pleasure knowing they are getting a message saying the number is disconnected when they call.

This is from a collections agency, Enhanced Recovery Company, LLC, or ERC.  They have a website, www.erccollections.com.  AT&T seems to be one of their larger clients, but they do 1st & 3rd party collections for several companies.

On my voicemail there was an extensive message from Enhanced Recovery Company with a phone number to call, an invalid web address, and a case number.  I called the number and went thru the option for "wrong number."  I spoke to a very friendly polite man, who said he was removing my phone number from their system as we spoke.  We'll see...

I got this call again today and all it was this time was a terrible shrieking sound. Never heard anything like it. Don't know how you fight that! Even though you're on the Do Not Call List, it doesn't matter and doesn't make any difference to report it either--based on my experience.

I have been getting a call  from 800-496-8916  on and off for a year now I have calld them four or five times nowto take the my number off of their list as it is a wrong number that person is not at this number thay say that they will deleat it from the call list about a month later it starts up again today I called again I told the lady that they have a wrong number and that I have called them many time about it and they keep telling me that they will take the number out of th system and this lady said she will take it out of the system then as I was tlling her that if I get any more calls from them I will turn it over to the ILL ATTN. GEN. Office she hung up on me so I calld them back a lady came on I told her that she had better not hang up on me that I needed to talk to a superviser she put me on hold and I was on hold for about 15 min. before some one came on I told him that I was on the phone with one of the other ladys in the office and she hung up on me he made sure the my phone number was taken off of the their list and I told him what will happen the next time I get a call from them he said that there won't be any more calls after today and we hung up so now we will see how long that will last!!!!!!

These jerks have been pestering me over a relatives obligations for about three years. I use a call blocker with 1st ring suppression backed up by software to prevent any possibility of picking up a phone without one of their wretches on the other end. It works 100%. They cannot make the phone ring or contact anyone PERIOD. But they continue to call about 3-5 times a week according to the logs. DUMB + !! Aside from the call blocker with ring suppression, expense is minimal if you have a computer and a base phone unit with wireless satellites. Very good blocking, but without ring suppression, can be done with freeware alone.

They started calling after I recently got a new unpublished phone number. I am also on the "do not call register". They don't care that they have the wrong person. They just keep calling. Like others have discovered already, they are calling from different 800 numbers. Somebody has to put these scammers out of business.
