This number called today at our business.  When I picked up, introduced our company to them, there was no one on the other line. This has happened three times today.

When I try calling back, the phone just rings and rings.

This number just called - I just checked my caller ID and this is the first time they called. I picked up the phone on speakerphone and said nothing (But Dora the Explorer was on my tv so I'm sure they heard that) I heard a 'Hello' on the other end so I said Hello back. After 15 odd seconds of silence I said 'Operator... Trap Trap Trap' and I burst into laughter as they hung up in a hurry.
I suspect I know the name they're looking for but that name does not and never has lived here (Went thru this with another collector just last week)

These people have called me 7 times in the past hour! Usually 4-5 times a day!

They don't leave voice mails for me either.

Seriously! Now, 8 calls in the past hour! They just called again as I'm writing this.

This phone # has been appearing on my caller ID for the past few weeks.  They usually call early in the morning (8:00ish) & later in the day.  When I answer, the caller seems to hang up.  There was once when I answered, an automated machine came on asking if you are so & so, push 1, if you are not so & so, push 2, etc.  Being I could not make out the name they were asking for, I held the line hoping to talk to someone, but the call was then disconnected.  Today I had had enough & called the # back.  The first thing I heard, was "This call may be recorded for quality control..."  Then a gal came on, but did not speak the name of the company clearly nor did she give her name... she simply asked how she could help me.  Upon talking to her,. she did give me the name of the person they were looking for... which was nobody who lives at my phone #.  She said she'd clear my name off this account... let's hope she does.  It's getting VERY annoying!!!

I just called this # back to get more information.  The guy I spoke with said the name of the company is Academy Service, which is a collection agency.  He assured me my name & phone # had already been removed from being linked to the guy they are looking for.  Time will tell...

These people keep calling me looking for Liz Lopez. I have no idea who this person is and I have asked them repeatedly to remove my number from their call list. Today 9/29/09 I finally spoke with a supposed supervisor Matthew Burns. I informed him that I would be reporting their agency and again requested that my number be removed from their calling list. If this organization was legit they would have removed my number the first time I asked them to. Please do something about this pestilential company.

I hate em'! If I have the residential phone number of the people behind this company. I will be gladly to treat them (call) the same way, or worse! I'm a night person

Someone keeps calling me from this number I have called them back over and over to stop they are calling a kid's cell phone so what else can I do they don't stop

Get a voicemail and file a lawsuit. I'm sure you can find various cases on it, ex. Allied Interstate.

They're been calling my phone, as well.

And I thought this thread was to submit a post about this particular number calling and bothering, not analyzing someone's post for poetic prose and style. Too much free time is detrimental for the ego. But yes, these idiots call frequently, regardless of pleading or cursing at them to desist. The only way to stop this nonsense is to send them a cease and desist letter, the rough form of which can be found on this very informative site.

People call me everyday 2 times for the past month. Called number back and talked to some guy with an attitude. Really starting to piss me off. Asked for my phone number so they could get me off there list of people i told them the first three digits and then stopped and said you dont need to know the rest. Had an attitute told me to have a nice day and hung up. Any one know who this company is?

Multiple calls on cell phone.  I have no collections.

Called me again today i retured the call and said i called you guys yesterday and said to please stop calling this number and the lady said i need your number to erase from our contacts list. This place doesnt sound like a offical company at all a normal company would first state the name of the company and the person speaking and a how may i help you or something. Didnt get that hmm.. :/ The lady then got an attitude with me and i said you listen to me call me one more [***] time and im going to report you. And the lady got even louder and more rude and said sir something but i cut her off and said you [***] call me again and im reporting goodbye and hung up. These people seem like a scam but they havent figured out yet that im not going to give them any information. They can keep calling me ill call them back and cuss them out its kinda fun lol

Thanks everyone for wasting my time as much as the phone call.. no good information - does anyone know who they represent?

they call alot.  they are a collection agency, look them up on google.  They are Academy Collection.  Claim to be professional debt collectors with state of the art automated systems that host predictive algorithim technology.  Just ignore them if you can, cause if they're calling someone owes money just like I do.

this place is academy collections. They were calling me looking for my ex-wife. but call this number 800.220.0605 and the will take off you as a contact number.

This place keeps calling me for a person that i do not know and definetly does not live at my address. But they keep calling me. How do i get this to stop. I am also on the do not call list. but this don't distract them
