Caller ID says Monarch Recovery. They hang up and never leave a message.

I have been receiving calls from this number for TWO YEARS. The 1st year they were looking for Randy. The second year, they have been looking for Ronald. Now they're back to Randy again. I have asked them repeatedly for any information they may have on EXACTLY WHO told them that anyone named Randy or Ronald lives here (neither one does). This could be a form of identity theft and I have to file certain reports to protect myself. They have REFUSED to give me any information. I'm convinced this means that they are dialing EVERY NUMBER listed in the phone book with an "R" as the initial of the 1st name, for example R. Jones. They are looking for Randy, Robert, Roy, Ralph, any name that begins with an R. This is ILLEGAL. In the 1st place, they have no right to call if they're guessing about who they are calling. My number is on the "Do Not Call List" and I have no business with them PLUS they're using an auto-dialer on top of that.

Would a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT be in order. I've been harassed for 2 years by these characters and I'm ready to begin an action on my own. I would appreciate any legal advice on how to proceed.

They called and didn't even leave a message. Humm...must be real important calling on my cellphone. I would think if it was that important, they'd leave a message at least.

i have been getting several calls from this number for the past week, many times a day!!! SO annoying. I have never picked up or called back because i just don't want to get involved since i know it has to be a scam. they did leave a message once or twice actually, it said something like, this is a message for a Richard (couldn't understand name) blank,...if you are not this person please disconnect or hang up immediately...if you continue to listen to this message this means you are him & blah blah blah. i freaked out and just hung up thinking they would stop calling from now on since i'm not that person, but no. nxt time they call i'm answering and gonna tell them to STOP CALLINGGG! sheesh. if they don't i'll just annoy them back and redial over n over n overr till they stop

Hey these people have called me 5 times or so in the past few days with today being 3 times.  I called back after the first two calls woke me up this morning.  They said they were looking for someone named Beverly? My name is Erik.  I asked them not to call...they said they would remove me from the list.  They just called again.  I answered and they asked for Sylvia. I said I didn't know a Sylvia (I don't).  

I asked who the company was I was speaking to. He said some name and that they were calling to offer Sylvia a $1000 shopping spree but since I answered he could extend the offer to me as well.

I asked what it would cost and if it was guaranteed.  He said it would cost $8.93 and he said it was 100% guaranteed.

At this point I asked what I got for my $8.93, "Like a magazine subscription or something?"  This was when I heard another voice cut in and then the call was ended.

Hope this lends some insight as to who these d-bags are.  Hopefully they will stop calling after this little run in.

They call more than 5 times a day mispronouncing our families name and telling the answering that by continuing to remain silent it is agreeing that it is the person they are looking for.

They call my neighbors house phone,because we have same  street # just different apt #.Must be some law against this or should be!

Just called my job. Would not say anything at all; after 2-3 minutes I hung up. If you call someone then be big enough to say who or what you want.  I hit 69 to get the phone number. Thanks for the info.

I keep getting calls from this number and all they do is hang up on my voice mail...Please get them to stop...Thank-you

They keep calling for my son. They are using my phone number. I have repeatedly asked them to stop calling me. The representative told me off. I asked to speake to her manager and she hung up on me. I called back and she refused again. I finally talked to someone who said they would talk to the representative. I just want them to remove my number. They will not identify the company name. I looked it up on the Internet.

Caller asks for Kathy Garr.  This person has outstanding debts.  We do not know a Kathy Garr.  If you hang up they are supposed to know this is a wrong #. So far there has been 2 calls.  I will turn this number to the police department if it continues.   It seems to be a debt collector and I do not intend to pay for someone elses debts.

This number calls us regarding someone that don't live here.  They say they are a collection agency, but we don't owe anything.

I have been getting harassment calls from 800-503-3852 repeatedly that are designed to get me to pay a psudo 1999 telephone bill allegedly with Southwestern Bell when I lived in Chicago, Illinois where Southwestern Bell does not provide service. The last call came at about 2:10pm today from someone who said she was "...Lauren Kelly..." but would not identify the company unless I verified confidential personal information(i.e., SSI#, etc.).

However, as Google reveals "...Lauren Kelly..." is the pseudonym for the writer Joyce Carol Oates. Here is what Google provides:

They will not tell me who they are.

Same thing here, they call even on sunday, just now I hang up on this idiot lady, looking for my ex husband and when I asked her what shew wants, she refuses saying "I'm sorry I can't discused any information with you" but she wants me to give her my ex whereabouts ...is she crazy, dumb or bipolar !!!!

Typically don't take calls from 800 numbers as they are usually sales types, however this one call my cell day and nite at a variety of times. I never take the call... they never leave a message.

just got a call from the number too.   but I get them on my cell fon.  get a call blocker for your phone.  it is great.  it just hangs up on them.  no voicemail no nothing..  it keeps a log of it.. but that is about it.

for the people that keep saying there debit is sol ( past the satutes of limitation)  all that means is that  they can no longer take you to a court of law.  at this point in time they can contact you to try to get you to pay.  but they can not act on anything as long as it is past the SOL.  depending on the state it is either usually 3 or 4 years.

that is true that the agencies are only allowed to call during normal hours.  so no later then 10 at night and nothing earlier then 8 in the AM.

if you keep track of everything and have actual proof.  that you can give to your DA's office.  you can submit a complaint to your local DA's office  regarding the company that keeps contacting you.  and if there DA is able to locate them.  they will be fined and possibly will have to pay you monies for harrasement.  

what is happening is that the scum of all collection agencies ( these are the people that buy bad debit)  they are the people that are contacting you.  they are buying your debit at $0.10 cents on the dollar.  so if there able to get you to pay anything.. there making a killing on you.

they actually should be put out of business.

Been getting calls from this number for about 2 weeks but never answered.  They never left any voicemail so figured it's not important.  Finally decided to answer their call this week to see what they want but all I heardwas a recorded message that said to wait while they locate a representative, and then THEY hung up right away. What the heck? Stop calling my number!
