- Call type: Debt collector
- K.D. Arther| 4 repliesThese people are extremely rude. They call my home looking for someone, from whom to collect a debt. I have told them, repeatedly, that this person does not live here and yet, they continue to call. In my state, we have a law against this activity and I will pursue this course of action if the calls continue.

- HuntergreenSame here...
However I played their tactics and sent them my response in writing via certified mail.
In that, was my "CESE of Communication" letter, which was notorized as well.
Sadly to the company's dismay, I have not received any phone calls since then..
Hope that sheds some light for all.- Caller: Diversified Adjustment Service

- Wardman8I too have received calls from this number on my cell. They were extremely rude. The left a message on my voice with a case number so I called back to tell them that they had the wrong number. At first, they were okay but when I asked what organization they represented (nothing stated as such) they were very rude and hung up on me.
- fred| 7 repliescalling for colections, threatening they will have the person yanked from the Army for not paying his bill. crazy.
- WHAT!! replies to fred| 2 repliesI guess that they have never heard of customer relations. Military members have the soldiers and sailors relief act that addressed jerks like this.
- Aggravated!| 2 repliesJust got a call from them on my cell looking for someone else!! My cell is registered with the Do Not Call Registry, so I filed a complaint against them. Also called them back, from my law firm!!, and told them they have been reported and to immediately desist from placing illegal calls. If your phone numbers are registered with the don't call registry, file a complaint against them now!

- S Stanley replies to K.D. Arther| 2 repliesYou can report a complaint to the FTC @ https://www.donotcall.gov/Complaint/ComplaintCheck.aspx - they keep calling my home as well looking for someone that does not live here. They are extremely rude and harassing. My home phone is on the DNC list and they are also calling an not displaying a caller ID - which is against the law.
- Sonya replies to kI used the below request last Friday and sent it to every e-mail address listed on their website under Contact Us. The calls stopped within 24 hours. You should also report them to the FTC under Do Not Call - it takes about one minute.
Dear Diversified Adjustment Services:
This is a formal Do Not Call request and it is my third request. Your company continues to call my home @ xxx-xxx-xxxx and leaves prerecorded messaes looking for someone that does not live here. I have attempted twice to request a DNC call request with two of your Representatives who are very rude and harassing. I've seen a very long list of complaints on the internet regarding your direct telemarketing tactics and I have filed a compalint with the FTC - Do Not Call division.
Please remove my phone number xxxxx from your calling list within 24 hours. If I receive another phone call in 24 hours or less I will pursue further action.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation. - asuittWell... my mother received a letter from Diversified Adjustment Services with no letter head & her name and address were handwritten. She called but not this number, and they told her someone in Georgia had purchased a cell phone from sprint with the number 800-504-8612 in her name and they wanted tollect over 400.00 in upaid charges. She is elderly and has never had a cell phone. They also asked to verify the last 4 digits of her ssn and requested copies of her drivers license and utilities. I thought this was strange so googled the number to see if there were any complaints. I'm sending a copy to our Attorney General.

- Jimmy J.| 2 repliesYes, they are rude and call for people that are not at the number they are calling and the number they call is not listed for the person they are calling, they all ways want information and will not tell you what they are calling about, they just hang up and call again the next day. I'm now getting calls for two people that don't live here, never have lived here and have never had my phone number.
- I100| 3 repliesGetting annoying messages asking for differ et people who never lived here
and asking to call back. I never bother to call them back, of course. - JohnLike most of you, this company continues to call asking for someone that does not live there. Hopefully, by submitting this form, my family and I will be relieved by one less telecommunication nuisance. We'll get there..one at a time! Thanks for the help.
- Harrassed in Tennessee| 9 repliesCan someone please tell me - why aren't these people in jail?? Are they Americans?? Why doesn't the Federal government arrest them for fraud??

- Kansas City| 5 repliesLeft message (for a non-resident) to return call for important personal business for over 6 months two times a day. Will not stop calling. VERY annoying.
- Now Harrassing in Iowa| 3 repliesI just started getting calls from this outfit yesterday. My husband called them back and asked them who they were and what they were calling about, and just as described here, they were very rude and hung up on him. They called back again today and left another message. This time my husband called and talked to 3 different ones, before one finally said they were "Diversified". I walked in on this phone call, and my husband said they say they need to speak with me. So I talked to some girl and she claimed they had someone with my name who owes over $600 to an energy company I've never even heard of. They asked to verify my social security number, and I was getting ready to say I wasn't giving it out over the phone, but she read off the number to me. It was not mine, and I told her so. What bothers me is how they had my address, my phone number, my middle initial/name, and they even knew my husband's name. Maybe as a collection agency, they have access to that info, even though I'm not the one in debt? This girl complained repeatedly that my husband was rude to her on the phone (because they won't say who they are). I ignored her, and she proceeded to say that the reason they do not say who they are when they call is because they are a collection agency, and it's against FTC regulations to leave anything other than their first name and phone number, and ask for a call back. Anyway, I told her that the number she gave was my not my social security number, and that my energy company is "XXXXXXX". She said okay, and that if it's not my social security number, then don't worry about it. She told me they had someone else in another state (she told me which one) with my same name, and that it must be a mixup with the same name in the computer. But, from what I've read here, I am now wondering if they are going to call back again tomorrow, and continue to. We have all our numbers registered with the no call list, so if they call again, I will report it and maybe take the other suggestions from people here too about sending a message to every email address on their web site under contact us, and the certified letter in the mail too. I have kind of been panicking all day that maybe I shouldn't have confirmed my street address, my middle name, and birth date. I hope they didn't have 2 social security numbers, and by denying the one as being mine, they now know the other one IS mine. My first thought was that they may have been on a phishing expedition, seeking to steal my identity. The phone calls from a collection agency would be annoying, but I'd rather have it be that than to find out this was a scam artist looking to steal my identity. The girl did rattle off to my husband a "service address" (supposedly the address the energy company provided service to) in that other state, and he remembered a number she said. I did a lookup on my name in that state, and this person with my same name DOES have that number in their house number. So, I have to hope that what they were telling me was on the up and up...
