- BaindenThe caller ID shows the caller's name as 8005373302, and the caller's number as 1-800-537-3302. I have talking caller ID, so it's kinda funny to listen to. This is not the type of phone call that I answer; leave a voicemail and I'll probably call back. I have no first hand knowledge of who is calling because they haven't left a VM. All of my credit card issuers know my preferred method of communication is via email, and I've received no email notices that a payment is past due. Other commenters have said that this is a 3rd party debt collector. The calls have conformed to the Fair Debt Collection Act and these calls are coming within a few minutes after they're allowed to call. I'm going to try that BBB link provided by Someone With A Brain, whom I thank for providing it.
- Chad replies to big scam...| 1 replyJust because a company doesn't search for you by your name doesn't mean it's a scam.. I work for Verizon and it doesn't even give us that option sometimes they really do need an account number/phone number/card number.. We even search by social security numbers
- won't be scammed800-537-3302 called my cell Sat at 7:40 pm left a message saying to call Jamie back about my First Bank Card at Chrysler Group Dodge. I did immediately and a weird message saying we can not take your call at this time. Please leave your name, phone number and last 4 numbers of your account and we will return your call. Hhmm.......
I do have an account with the stated company BUT I paid my bill on time 2 weeks ago. They should not be calling me. I suspect it's the marketing dept.- Caller: 1st Bank Card
- ziggyIt may very well be a payment reminder from 1st National Bank Omaha, or First BankCard. They should not be asking for a credit card number right off the bat, but will usually ask a couple security questions to verify that you are the person they need to talk to. They had called me and I hung up on the gal thinking it might be a scam, and I turned around and called them from the number on my card. I found that a payment I made had not been posted by it's due date so I called my bank and got it straightened out over the phone. It is good to be skeptical but follow up on it , it just might save you money in late payment fees.

- Scott replies to You are a scammerExactly! Wether legit or not this idiot saying it's ok! Is giving the worst advice ever! Don't give any info over the phone to anyone that call's you!
- Trish| 1 replyThis is FNBO - First National Bank of Omaha. I DO have an account with them and they call me with account updates, if there is a late or missing payment, credit limit changes, etc. Note that if you happen to have a late payment (that is late for more than one business day) they will blow up your phone with calls. I have auto pay set up with them but when my debit card switched to a new chip card the expiration date and CVV changed and I didn't realize FNBO didn't have the correct info (I forgot to update it so that was my fault). When the payment to them failed they called me something like 8 or 9 times the following day even after I'd spoken with someone one the very first call. It was excessive considering in 2 years I'd never had a late or missed payment, BUT that is their policy. I just ignored the calls after I talked to the first person.
Please remember that they HAVE to get an account number to confirm they are speaking to the correct person. DO NOT provide them with your SSN if you do not have an account. Just let them know someone gave them incorrect information. In all likelihood someone looked up a phone number matching their name so they could give false info to evade their creditors, it happens way more often than you would think and people are needlessly nasty to the representatives just trying to do their jobs. Just be polite, tell them you do not have an account with them and let them know they have a the wrong number, and move on.- Caller: First National Bank of Omaha

- Tina K. replies to TrishThat's nice, but I certainly DO NOT have any accounts in Nebraska. They called me from 402 341 0505 and left a message for me to call the 800#. I did it, assuming it was a telemarketer, to have my # removed from their list. The "operator" then began attempting to verify my account of which there is not one, asking to confirm my address of which they have no way of having in the first place, and then my name, which they had wrong.
(If I worked for scammers, I might go on line and post on the scam call out site that its legit and don't worry about giving up your info ;) ) - Charline replies to Chadif you initiate the call TO a company that you KNOW you have an account with and have to provide that info is one thing... but to be asked to provide it to a company you know you don't have an account with is a scam.
- PeterThe call is from First National Bank of Omaha. I am going through a bankruptcy and they had a good reason to call. The woman I spoke to was polite and never once tried to interrupt me as I talked to her.

- SamAfter receiving a voicemail without much detail other than the callback number and saying it was First National Bank of Omaha, I looked up the bank's website and customer service number. The bank does say that they service many credit cards (including AmEx, Visa and MasterCard). I said that I definitely did not have a checking or savings account with them, but I was not sure if one of my credit cards was serviced by them. So she said that she could look me up with just my name, which I gave her, and there was no record of an account under my name in their system. I also contacted American Express and they had no record of this phone number either, so I am thinking that this was a fraudulent call.

- SueThis was a valid call as when I set up my auto pay, a wrong number was inputted and I received a letter the next day so I called them, they were very nice and polite and fixed it.

- DavidAfter reading the comments here. I know who is calling and I get just the phone number in 6 second message. I made my payment late. Yes it was only a week late, I'm sure the payment hasn't been cleared yet. As it takes a few days to be processed. Then in the past 9 months after being on disability for 3 months last year. I ended up in a hole money wise, I had savings. It goes real fast when your weekly check goes to 175 bucks. I can see why they would be nervous and call fast. If I was owed money I would be wondering if some one has been late like me in the past. Was going to take the easy way out and file for bankruptsy. I borrowed the money and I will pay it back. First Bank dose not know that. Every other summer it gets real busy at work. There is lots of OT to be had, not this summer.
