WTF? Why would someone waste time, money & energy calling radom phone numbers and not leaving a message or answering when called back? All I can say is "Whatever"....and I will call block them from now on....thank the Lord for call blocker!

it's a division of chase, something to do with home finance.

I have numerious calls everyday from this 1-800-548-7916.I DO NOT answer calls from #'s that don't show who it is calling,but they continue calling at all times of the day and night.I also receive the private name private # calls right after the 800# call.Wish they would get the hint and stop calling.

Sorry to bother you but I was just wondering how you block this number? Do you have to have a certain cell phone to block calls?

victim...I get the same calls many times a day...and I am not late or have ever been late on my payment...so your response is not true...

victim is correct, if you dial the number back it says Chase.  Sorry D, you are either late on a payment with Chase or you've had your identity stolen.  Call and check it out especially if are not a Chase customer.

Yep, it's Chase and they get really annoying.  They will call several times a day using this number, then BLOCKED, then PRIVATE.. Usually starting around the 5th of the month.  They consider their due date the FIRST and even though they have a grace period till the 16th, they will call and harrass.  ''We have not received your payment, would you like to pay it now (by the way it will be $20 to process it)..blah blah blah.'' and ''Is there any reason you have not paid it yet?''  And even if you answer it and tell them you will pay before the grace period, they will still call several times a day.

Hey 'B'!  I too receive the same calls on the 5th! (then the 8th, 11th, 14th, 17,) Chase said they consider you "late" if not paid by the 5th.  And they do the same song and dance for me too.  They told me they will call every three days until they have received payment.  Isn't this some kind of harassment?  I've had some really rude Chase people even tell me to find a second job etc so I can pay by the 1st.  They don't care, the bible says to pray for "those".....  It's a tough one!

It is Chase and they screw people right and left. They have harrassed me for 3 years because they paid taxes on a house in Dallas that I do not own. It was their mistake and after hiring an attorney they have now corrected it but dont tell their phone monkeys. By the way, I have never been late on a payment. If you want to join the lawsuit and have been screwed by chase call the attorney in victoria, texas, Gerome Brown.

I have been on the phone for about an hour today trying to figure out what might be wrong with one of the many Chase accounts I have.  This is because I received a call from 800-548-7916 in which someone said they were calling about my Chase account and "This call needs to be returned."  Well, since all Chase departments are separate, I had to call about 8 different people to ensure that every account that I have is current with no anomaly's.  When I called that number back, they tell me they don't know who called me or why I was called.  One of the people from Chase told me it was likely a "solicitation" call.  Well, I can promise you that if they are selling ANYTHING, no matter what the price, I will not buy it given that method of ensuring a returned phone call.  However, for anyone in this blog who is unsure, this number is definitely Chase Mortgage (by the way I do not have a mortgage with them) and it is their collection department (without a doubt).  Very frustrating to think that something might be wrong but those idiots can't even determine who called me or why.

I recently changed my number and I started getting phone calls from this company as well as a few others. Apparently the previous owner of my phone number owes some major bills. I  answer these phone calls and tell the caller this is a new listing at first i was being polite because hey they don't know this number belongs to someone new. BUT then they kept calling so now when I have had a long hard day at work i look forward to these calls so I CAN CURSE THEM OUT. Its really theraputic!! lol

I asked them why they were calling. They told me it was concerning a letter they sent out regarding lowering your mortgage rate. I told them, if we are interested, that we would call back so stop calling.
Who knows about this law suit cuz they are really pissing me off calling all the time and wasting my time.

Can you give me any information about this lawsuit against Chase. We have several years of history with them.

Ok - so We called back that number, got connect with someone from Chase saying that we were in collection, which we are not. They told us that they can save us money by lowering our interest rate, yet NO ONE could tell us what is was, so we called another number 800-548-7912 and that idiot couldn't tell us about the lower interest rate. They said that they are not calling to sell anything. Surprise me that they don't know what they are doing! GO CHASE!
