This number has shown up on my cell about 3 times/day for the past 4 days.  If they can't take the time to at least leave a message, obviously I don't care to waste the time to consider any service they want to provide.

same as above. calls at all hours multiple times a day. I am finally answering b/c I know it is DTE and they hang up!

I got 2 calls in the past 3 hours.  I just went to their site and emailed customer service (address link below).  Just opt-out. It's bad enough that I get extra crap with my bill, now I'm getting phone calls.

If they don't stop calling after you get an email like this, get ahold of the Better Business Bureau.

Have gotten 4 of these unknowns that have rang twice then hung up.
Googled and got to "here".

Called 800 477 4747 pushed buttons till I got to a customer service rep.
Asked to be taken off the telemarketers lists
Was told that my number was  was being removed and it might take 2 days to be effective.  
Better Business will be the next call I make if this type of calling continues.

I'm getting calls once or twice a day and not answering (as I don't for unknown callers showing up on my ID).  It's obnoxious.

I'm trying to figure out if there are any options for alternative gas suppliers in Grand Rapids so that I might be able to put some bite ("I will switch over to Company X if you don't stop calling..") but can't seem to find any out. SemCo might, and perhaps Universal, but does anyone know for sure?

One call 2 days ago. Two calls yesterday. Two calls today. I answered the first time and the line was immediately disconnected. Never leaves a message. I've filed a complaint per IT Technician's suggestion (5 posts above), at dteenergy.com

thanks to your posts, i know not to answer this call. but it's getting frustrating as they are now calling me several time EVERY DAY! this kind of crap should be illegal!!!

Someone from the number called me this morning.  I could not understand a word she was saying.  After asking her to repeat a couple times, I simply told her I wasn't interested in whatever she was offering me because I could not understand what a word she said.

I have been getting called about 3 times a day for the last 3 days and they never leave a message how frustrating.

Since I have to buy my electricity and gas from them, I have a pree-existing commercial relationship with DTE. As such, the "do not call list" doesn't apply. Yes, it is frustrating. Bad war-dialing software design -- they should at least leave a short message.

So far I have gotten calls up to 5-6 times DAILY from this number and we are sick of it!!!  We never answer toll-free calls, however, being so barraged by this number I decided to look it up...  I am both astonished and infuriated by all that I've found.

Why oh why can't these people be stopped?  It's sheer harassment serving only to produce mega negative PR for DTE.

ANY productive tips on how to make them stop PLEASE let me know!!

  The above number belongs to  DTE!!  DTE says  "If we owen the company and we owen the 800 number, then we will call all of you frustrated people, and there is nothing you can do about it!"

This number calls my cell several times a week. When I call number back it says it a disconnected number.

I dislike telemarketers and the annoying calls each and everyday.  Finally I found a solution just scream at the top of your lungs or get a blowhorn (it think that is the name) and just do that into the phone.  Quite immature but has solved my problem and I get amusement out of it.

DTE needs to stop calling me to sell me something I ALREADY HAVE!  They need to get on the right page.

Call from this number several times.  I have called and asked to be deleted from their call  base with no luck.  Have emailed DTE and advised that I will report to the Public Utilities Commission if calls persist

I continue to receive calls from this number and no messages are being left.

Same for me.  Keep getting the calls again and again.  they just hang up when I answer it as a business line (which it is).
