i dont even have dte and i have been getting multiple calls every day for about a week now.

I have contacted a well known lawyer...We are about to go forward with a lawsuit. I have documented all the unwanted telephone calls

I have recieved phone calls twice a day everyday from DTE, Im NOT interested in whatever you are selling take my number off your list or I will cancel service with you and so will thousands of others. I have payed my bill ontime and am tired of the harrassment. My acct is under amber kamp, delete my phone number NOW.

I have been receiving calls every day for months at different times.  No message is left.  I live in Wyoming, MI.

it may have to do with the fact that somebody used to have your cell phone number and has not told DTE that it has changed or people use fake phone numbers all the time.

I get several during the day, and at least 3 between 7:30 and 9:00 at night.

I am tryng to get help been looking everywhere. Can you tell me what I can do? DTE calls me 3-6 times a day starting at 8am and I don't even have a shut off yet. The guy did not even believe me till he looked it up and told me he cannot stop the calls they are automated. This is harassment and has to be illegal, They know, because I told them I will get it paid as soon as i get a shut off, they said i wont get one until 60 days late and since they wont stop that's 20 more days of non stop 6 day a week phone calls, They keep calling even if you press the buttons saying it's the wrong number.

If you call 800-556-001, you can ask to be put on their Do Not Call list.  They'll ask for your name and phone number.

Robo-call left on the answering machine said to call about an urgent matter with my account needing immediate attention.

I called the real DTE billing number at 1-800-477-4747 and she said that there was no problem with my account.  Perhaps if enough people call the billing department, they'll get the word.

I have tried to get these asshats to stop calling. Emailing DTE. Filling out some stupid form online. It doesn't work. And they call at least twice every day.

The worst of the worst in telepests. I'd switch electric companies if I could.

I've gotten 7 calls in the last 3 days.  Yes, weekends too.  I pick up, I heard laughing and chatter in the background, but no one on my line talking.... They cannot pronounce my last name, they hang up.  I let it go to voice mail. There is never a message.  I just called after looking at this site.  Press one, wait for a live person, ask to speak to a supervisor or manager, then the response is "would you like to be placed on our 'do not call list'?".  Yes.  Let's see if it works.

I just called the number back and was placed on the do not call list. Hopefully this works, I guess I will have to wait and see.

I found out that the Home protection Plan was added to my account when I got a Thank you letter from DTE for joining the plan.  I called that 800 number to have it removed.  I was told that they showed a call to my home on 3/16 and that was when the plan was authorized.  I did not answer a call from DTE about the plan on 3/16 so it looks like they just added it.  I checked my caller ID and indeed there was a call from their 800 number but no message on the answering machine.  (I don't answer 800 number calls.)  The plan has since been removed but still not clear how it got added in the first place.

I love how companies just ignore the do not call list whenever it suites them.  There is, of course, no penalty for violating the law, so why would they comply with it?  These people are scum and the government won't enforce anything where they can't spend billions.

Got a sales call from DTE. Yes I'm a customer.

I was listening the speel because it sounded somewhat interesting - an appliance protection plan for $35.95/month for all appliances, water heater, furnace etc. I didn't say ANYTHING and she asked if I was still at our address and I said, "we are." That was the only thing said. She instantly transfers me to their verification specialist who I had to cutoff and butt in to say, I never agreed to anything. He said, we'll send you blah blah blah. I said, "it sounds like you are signing me up for something that I haven't agreed too and then I have to call and cancel." He says,  "yes but blah blah" I say, "Well, now I'm very angry. I do not agree to anything. Please remove me from your call list."

If I get anything from them I am going to go ballistic. Watch out for them. They are steamrollers.
