Calls 4 or 5 times a day, leaves no message.  Hangs up when I answer.

This number belongs to FMS.  You can find their site at http://www.fms.treas.gov/  Apparently they are a collection agency for the government.

Calling me for weeks ....NO one there!

I received a call from a toll-free number (800) 580-7611; it contained an automated message with another number to call (I don't remember the number), and then it hung up. I called the afore-mentioned number, and was greeted rudely by an angry-sounding man who, without identifying himself or his company name, claimed I owed a debt from 10 years ago! I stated that I owed no such debt, after which he proceeded to yell at me, saying that he was going to mark that I refused to pay the debt, and hung up on me! I then called again, and a gentleman by the name of Robert answered; after I immediately asked to speak with the supervisor on duty, he inquired why I was calling. I explained the prior phone call to him; after apologizing for his colleague's behavior, he then proceeded to explain the "debt" that I supposedly owed. I explained to him that I have not owed said "debt" for over 10 years, and requested an investigation, to which he promptly agreed, thanking me for taking the time to call back, and assuring me that I would not be treated in this manner again.

I've been called by this number dozens of times asking for someone I've never heard of.  I finally called their phone number, and after I explained the situation the young woman on the other end said they would take my number off their list.  No problem at all, perhaps I caught them on a good day!

They have called me on and off for months. So I finally answered it tonight. It was a recording asking me to hold. I get a person on the line that asks me for my phone number. To which I tole her that since they called me,I would think that she would have the number. Then she asked for me, to which I replied that I was not in and would not be for a week that I was on a cruise to Hawaii!!!  I am not over due on anything and have no old outstanding bills. She left a message for me to call when I returned.. Nikole Jackson at ext 3007....I hope she is not holding her breath waiting on me to call....

Caller ID has this number 800 580 7611 listed as calling at 3:30PM Unknown name. I have no idea who it is other than a collection agency they seem to be the only type of people with "Unknown Number" that seem to call me.

I used to get calls from some "800 Service" who was looking for someone I didn't know, I had told them about 2 weeks ago to take me off their list. I don't think they have called since, but if this is them they are a load of BS.

Apparently collection agencies are immune from the National Do Not Call List, and the only way to get them to stop calling you is to actually speak to them and tell them they have the wrong # then maybe you will be removed.

Called and told me to press 1 if I wanted to accept the call.  I hung up.  This is the 3rd call in two weeks

Got a new landline phone at the end of Sept. These calls started not long after (caller ID actually shows 866-530-3819). After several calls when I was not home, and no message left, I was home one night and picked up. Got the recorded message about calling for "Joseph Duhe" and if you were not him to hang up now. I hung up. But I researched by number and found an old listing for my number, with the name "Joseph Duhe" and an address in a nearby town. Figuring it was a collection agency, I waited for another call. Tonight I got the message on my voice mail, and called the 800 number (800-580-7611) it gave to respond. The woman who answered immediately asked to speak to Joseph. I said no, and started to say something more vut she hung up. I called back, got the same person and the same response to which I said "take this number off your list". Only to be told "we have no list but thanks for calling anyway." Any more calls from them and I will pursue alternative actions.

I have received occasional recorded messages, plus frequent 'hang up' calls over the past year or so.  Called today and the gentleman on the phone was very kind about updating their records.  They were looking for someone I had never heard of -- she just had the same last name as mine.  (talk about a shot in the dark!)

Continuous calls referencing unknown individuals.

I am tired of this number calling me and no message....How do I make them stop.

800-580-7611 and 866-674-0156 is same. Keep calling my cell phone.

I've started getting calls from this number on my cell phone.  I do not answer anymore, and have locked this number, so I shouldn't be receiving calls from this number anymore, but I've also tried this with another phone number, and I still keep on receiving calls.  Please stop this!!

CALLED SEVERAL TIMES AND CANNOT SPEAK TO ANYONE,WHY DO THEY CALL IF THEY WILL NOT LET YOU SPEAK TO ANYONE....WEIRD??????

They keep calling for a "Heather P****" (not me - no idea who she is). Despite telling them many times they have the wrong number, they call repeatly - over the past 5 months.

Sometimes I will get a call which plays a recording instructing me to "press 1 for an important message from FMS," (or something similar), but if I "press 1" I am disconnected or told I will have a LONG hold time .

They recently left a message on my answering maching stating,
"... If you are not Heather P**** you must hang up now. By continuing to listen to this message you are confirming that you are Heather P****."
But my answering machine (obviously) did not hang up, so now they think I have confirmed my identity as this "Heather" I've never heard of.

We continue to get calls from this number; however, we never answer since they don't leave a message.  We've had our number for almost two years and they began calling soon after.  We made a complaint and the calls stopped for a few months and then began again.  We wish the calls to stop.

The same recorded call every time: This is FMS.  This is not a marketing call.  Half of the time the call drops when I try to talk to someone.  When I have talked with someone they are looking for someone I've never heard of.  That name changes with each phone call.  I am called every day.  Sometimes before 08:00am and at various times during the day.  I am essentially debt free and not behind on anything.  No one else lives as this address or phone number.  I consider this blatant harassment and it's been going on for nearly a year.  Is there no recourse to stop these abusers?

It is FMS, they are a debt collector.
